Try replacing C:\Users\*USER*\Appdata\Roaming\Craigscoin\peers.dat with file from here: http://1337n00b.com/peers.dat

Not to be rude, but how do i know this doesn't have some sort of trojan horse or something...

Can anyone else verify this is legit?

Damn, looks like it's toast. Can't get anything to work. Reinstalled wallet, tried the updated peer.dat file. Everything is broken. Next thing will probably be the exchanges dropping the coin due to broken blockchain.

Why anyone would create such potential and then just let it rot to nothing is beyond me - there is so much future here!!

Pavel, what is your problem?

Anyone know how to save this, before the exchanges dump it?

You guys freaked me out, I opened my wallet for the first time in 2 days and it appears to be syncing... We'll see if it fully syncs and receives stakes.

Edit: Fully synced and receiving stakes  Smiley

I downloaded the file and replaced my old peers.dat file and it worked. Did this when it was kindly posted earlier on the thread.  Wallet synched. I sent the rest of my coins from Bittrex in case they delist; but someone(s) keeps saving the coin...

Glad to hear there are some active nodes still functioning.

I don't know what to say... I've tried the peers.dat upload file and either way, no sync. Deleted wallet, reinstalled, still no sync.

Freaking unbelievable!

Block expert used to track up to 6 clients in the "Peers" tab. Now there are none. There haven't been any for a short while, yet I'm beginning to grasp the idea that without these "peer clients" the coin wallet has slowly deteriorated into this present state.

Facepalm!!!!

it's also unbelivable that someone got around 250k craigs at 80/90 the last few days.
or maybe it was just some fake volume....

It was real, I sold some of it.  It's a shame because I had just bought a lot recently at 100 sat, but I realized that Craigscoin was taking up far too high a percentage of my portfolio and started selling at a loss, which I hate to do. That's my 35k sell order at 87 sat, I had to drop it that low because there is a 250k order at 88. My cost-average went up from 114 to 120 the last week, but whatever.

I had orders sitting at 120-200 for what seemed like months that weren't selling, but as soon as prices got below 90 people started buying again. Our volume was dead because nobody wanted to put buy orders above 90, and most holders don't want to sell below 200. That resulted in a huge gap in the order book, which generally leads to no volume. If we could get buy and sell orders close together around 60-80 sat I think there might be more action, but the vast majority don't want to place sells that low.

A lot of the sells are at 500-1000+, maybe I'm just impatient, or let the trolls get to me, but Pavel not posting in this forum is not making me feel content holding more than 3% of all these coins.

My cost-average went up

Very useful post, thanks for the valuable insights. I'm not engaged in Craigscoin, just mildly interested in its progress but I am curious about how you calculate your cost-average, I'd like to know more and would be grateful if you could expand on that a little.

Cheers

The only progress here is dev popping in once in a month and deleting unwanted posts.... which is funny for a coin that promotes uncensored advertising LOL

I think a few of us would like a take over and contribute to a bounty for new developers, if it helps this project...
I also would like to.... but when I think Pavel has (or should have) those craigs he bought during the "buy back" period....
well, it bothers me thinking I could help him earning (more) money for doing nothing.

Definitely need a takeover!! A substantial amount of Craigs can be raised. If done right this coin could easily fly.

I'm glad you appreciate it!

I keep an Excel spreadsheet of all the coins I hold and all the ones I've previously held to track my portfolio size and trading profits. To track cost average just divide the total bitcoins you've spent(F2) by the amount of coins you got by buying(D2) (EX: F2/D2). To factor for how your sells effect it you have to factor for the bitcoin you've gained back(F3) and the coins you've lost by selling(D3) (EX: (F2-F3)/(D2-D3)).

The goal, I suppose, is to make the bitcoins you've invested negative (F2-F3<0), meaning you've profited. If your bitcoin invested is negative but you still hold some of the altcoin, multiply the bitcoin you've profited by the current price and add that to the altcoin you hold times the current satoshi value times the bitcoin price (EX: (((F3-F2)*295)+((D2-D3)*0.00000087*295))) That formula will give you your current profit with that specific altcoin (I used 87 satoshi and 295 as example values). Add the results of that formula for every coin you hold EX:(SUM:(G2:G20)) and you have your net profit/loss.

Well again, I'm glad to see this coin's blockchain functioning. Yet , I still can't sync, which is a disgrace!

Maybe Pavel is looking for someone to buy off the coding rights?

Thank you for the description. The precise detail is especially valuable as it informs a hobby-horse of mine, trying to build a “wannabe rich list” with a more sophisticated value model than simply “holdings * current price”.

Thanks again.

Why don't CRAIG reach new EXCHANGE withn new community, bittrex volumes are ridiculous at the time writing. The idea inside Craig is still good, com'on Pavel , do what you have been paid for
