Come on people, stop comparing Pavel to scum like Ryan Kennedy. So far has'nt done anything to warrant any accusations. Let him do what hes promised and make something of this coin!!!! Smiley

Problem is, there's no buy support, no new money coming into the coin, beyond occasional, tiny fractions of a bitcoin. This was the real problem before the latest dump and probably the reason it happened.

It's a very skeptical market right now. Buyers are reluctant, so for a coin to succeed, it needs to be heavily and regularly developed/enhanced and regularly promoted like jl777 has done for bitcointalkdark.

I've never gotten the sense that Pavel is a scammer, but it's an open question whether he's up to the task of doing what it takes these days to keep this brutal market from dumping on a coin.

Much as I hate to admit it, rustynailer has a point. Either Pavel comes out with a compelling update -- that's compelling about future development and marketing (what's the latest on the PR initiative?) -- or he commits some serious buy support to convince the market that the coin has a future he is committed to or (ideally) he does both. If he needs time to prepare a compelling "media blitz", then provide some buy support in the meantime to convince the market you're invested. In this market, when there's doubt, silence kills.

Short of an "intervention", this battered altcoin market will do to this coin what it seems to be doing to a lot of coins - dumping first, asking questions later. A lot of people have been screwed across a lot of coins - a lot of people are on a short fuse.

In the [ANN], Pavel wrote:
"If this ICO will reach a certain goal I will leave my full time job and dedicate 100% of my time to this project."
I assume the sold-out ICO met his target. Market needs to be convinced that Pavel intends to hold up his end of the deal.

In any case, Pavel, you should get someone to help with development/marketing.

I agree Pavel needs to Step up a Gear and get on this, show that there is some development coming, do the obvious essentials like mac wallet, stepup pr and yes buy support now is needed. Im just saying its unwarranted to compare him to Ryan Kennedy!!

I agree - he isn't Ryan Kennedy - but the point I'd make is that the consequences will end up being the same for coinholders if he doesn't step up on marketing, branding, developing, buy support or all of the above.

Except for one guy, there's no one in the buy order queue committing more than 1/10th of a bitcoin above 100. All the amounts greater than that are only at 100 or less, so I take 100 as the real effective price of the coin at this point.

That's a 93% drop from the ICO. Whether Pavel is a scammer or not -- and I don't believe he is -- is basically irrelevant at this point. The question is whether he can deliver 400+BTC of value back to this coin, or at least a decent fraction of that. Or get some more help to do so.

Let's guess what happens next.

A. Pavel comes on and makes a post about bad health and not being able to continue

B. We never hear from him again.

C. Work commitments will slow development down to a standstill

D. He blames the community here for things not going too well.

Kennedy's mo. Maybe im reading 2 much into it.

From now on I am only going to invest in coins that have a team of people behind them, and with real development not copy paste coins like this. No more one man shows for me.

If your looking for a good investment have a look at Fibre and Shadow.

NEM and Nectarcoin seem to have serious teams.

I like this coin and I intend to keep those who already have. Surely will buy as much as I can. Pavel has no reason to give up what he does, and the only thing I want to wish him more work and success!

Shadow is about to explode soon with their zero knowledge tx

Fibre have their own operating system, try it out its easy plug and play privacy

Thanks, but it's clear that if there are big gains to be had in this market anymore, they tend to come early in the game, for the early adopters. If you come in later, it seems more likely than not, you'll just be feeding btc to earlier adopters.

I prefer to focus on new coins (NEM and Nectar haven't even fully launched yet) with fresh ideas/approaches on new things that are really needed, like encouraging adoption of this stuff (no more anon-tech, please - been there, done that).

I do agree with you about teams. This market lately is demanding too much from single-mortal-man coins. Seems to take a full-blown professional team to survive.

Guys, our dev was here two days ago and you're freaking out like he's gone M.I.A. I DO wish he'd post in here soon, but don't get all flustered about the price. I've been in here since the ICO and one flash dump isn't bothering me, neither is the month of declining price. I like this coin, it's alllll gooood  Smiley

So you've invested at 1444 and price has been on a downtrend ever since, reaching an ATL 2 days ago 39 satoshi and that is good? Do you really hate your money or are you too blind to see this dev of yours scammed you of off 300 btc? Do you know what kind of huge development you could create with that money? The most professional ad listing websites ever. Yet you all are here , so naive trusting in this scammer. He delivered a bad website/ service and has been doing nothing since except enjoying his 100k. Wouldn't be surprised if the guy is missing cause he was beat up by investors.
I bought into ICO and sold immediately, till I saw craig again in trex and was laughing so hard. Can't believe this is acceptable

IMHO, it will be a combination of A & D.  Roll Eyes

this piece of russian shit will say without a strong community he can do nothing.and this community is affected by the fuds ,and also he can not control and should not be responsible for the price coz he did not let you dump at the price of ico.all shit devs use the same shit as others'.and btw, volatilitycoin dev also uses this european shit.

This whole exercise reinforces to me that actual new features do not mean shit in this community.  There was only a very small window of time that IPO investors could have sold their coins for a profit or even break even.  I don't blame anyone but myself for my crappy investment in this coin, I always learn from a good loss.

Congrats Pavel on your 430BTC take.  I don't know about most of you but my family could live for 4 or 5 years on that.

Sometimes you have to wait months to make profit on a coin. Sometimes it is worth to hold and wait a bit longer before selling with a loss. This is one of those coins I just refuse to sell for a loss because even in 2015 we have some interesting developments planned.

Yes! I will hold strong. Hoping to bank off another coin to get some more cheap Craigs within the next few days.

Another idea I'd like to propose for the future of this coin would be a similar Angie'slist type feature integrated into the search engine filter system. I own my own company and I know that the system has bad ways of deleting bad feedback for a price. A decentralized service feedback system has potential!

On a side note...
Sucks to see all the FUD. Just remember one thing - Happy 1 Month Birthday for CraigsCoin! I mean come on people, this coin is just 1 month old!

Cheers all,
Craig

If you launch a new alt coin like this you should plan to spend as much on PR and market stabilization as on the actual development.

I'm sure there were enough funds generated by the ICO to do this correctly here.

Coin devs who say they just want to focus on development and not worry about the market need to get their heads out of their arses!
