It's up to you, really, but your reaction and lame attempts to justify your act of theft have done way more to destroy your reputation than the scammer tag ever did.

+1

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable.  I never believe them.  If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins.  I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion.  Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice.  Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

Nice to see you have changed your attitude. Too late after I am the joke of the forum ...

When are you going to try and hack into my computer and take the BTC ?

When are you going to try and compute the private key ?

When are you hiring the hitman ?

Can I have that avatar, at least ?

When is the DDOSing stopping ?

Probably when you decide to stop pointing your skript at 127.0.0.1.

bulanula, you did a scam! You had a public aggreement with smart1985.
He sent you 25 BTC instead of 2.5. It was a typo, AFAIK. Send it back!
If I'll walk beside you and accidentally drop my wallet, and you'll take it
but will not give it to me - it will be a theft. So you robbed smart1985.

I deleted a bunch of off topic replies in other meta threads that were just "im not a scammer' with a link to this thread. Spammy, annoying, off topic. No need to bump a bunch of other threads that are completely unrelated.

I have no idea.

Maybe theymos. Maybe smart1985. Maybe other moderators but still it is damn strange ...

Just shows censorship here is tighter than in North Korea Cheesy

I don't even get the thing about the scammer tag anyway.

I am not trying to sell ANYTHING to ANYBODY ! I am not the one running rigged gambling sites and ponzis.

Tag me any way you like and please remember to give me that awesome avatar if possible.

The real scammers get away while somebody like me ( registered since May 10 2011 and 1800+ posts and did deals of 100 BTC worth on here perfectly ) gets humiliated for not giving a damn refund and censored like a good comrade Angry

I think me asking for a caution tag was very relevant in this thread :

It may be that you like it or want to get someone else's money.

You got 25 BTC from smart1985 by this transaction:

You know that smart1985 has proved that it's his money:
Code:
bitcoind verifymessage 1FCkUKm7vLMvgJQ9be8fLacoBy2BvAaYf4 G+xPWu7iAvIdqiiWYIM0JK4GbHBjNfzyoSaiafv41VEjLdc4zavxeLwScKOq44IkJPoJadc3srX9INL/HaVOJ5E= "im smart1985 from Mybitcointrade.com"

So what's a problem? Just send it back. It's not your money.

You pay 22.5 BTC and your scammer tag gets removed.

When do I get the new avatar, please !

If you're done playing the victim, you might want to respond to my posts. I'm not insulting you and I'm not trolling; I'm giving you reasoned explanations of why people are reacting the way they are, which is (surprisingly to us) surprising to you. You can keep moaning about how you were wronged by the scammer tag and suggesting that the administration is being bribed, but that isn't a productive approach to the situation.

The solution here is for you to:
  • Stop acting like the victim: it pisses everyone off and doesn't buy you any sympathy from anyone.
  • Admit that despite smart1985 being a dick to you, what you did was wrong.
  • Emphasize that your lame attempts to justify your actions in this thread and elsewhere were knee-jerk reactions against what you felt to be unjust treatment on the part of the forum administration and membership, and are not representative of how you really approach business and life.
  • Return the coins, or come to a mutual agreement with smart1985 about what to do to resolve the situation.

You're free to ignore my suggestions, but if you do anything less than what I listed, I doubt you'll recover your reputation.

See, this just pisses me off. Stop writing off other people's issues with you as unreasonable and ascribing them to communist ideals (isn't that what the comrade reference was for?) and censorship. You do not have the freedom to steal from other people.

Even the most hardcore (left-)libertarian or anarcho-capitalist (neither of which describe me, I should add) still believes in strong property rights underpinning a productive society. You acquired possession of smart1985's coins; not ownership of them. But you are acting as if they belong to you now.
