No don't do it for at least 2 or 3 weeks.  this is an exceptional run of luck.

  Wait for a 300% or  350% block and then do it.  It may help to change the luck when the pool needs it.

I ended with high renting 200th

So the avg hash rate dropped from 4.8th to 4.04th
The two over nite will be  about 4.8/1800 x 25 or   0.06 btc to 0.067 btc

So say .12 btc plus the .83 btc = .95 btc for .57 btc in rentals.

I still have earning power and with that nice big 200th  at finish  it won't lower that quickly over the next 30-50 hours.

Yes there is a very nicely detailed explanation of shifts earlier in this thread.  To simplify it for you a shift is a less granular look at your contributed hash rate than tracking every submitted share.  Makes it easier on the pool to track shifts instead of shares.

Renting for profit is tough to pull off.  Phil got lucky.  He got hashing power at a very nice rate and the pool found more blocks than expected.  You can also get burned playing this game.  For example, a few months ago I rented a large amount of hash.  Unfortunately the pool on which I was mining suffered some horrific luck and I lost a lot of coin.

the above is true.

lets say going rate is 0.0105 a th  and you get  0.0102 a  th  you rent 100th which is 1.02btc  which is .03 under the going rate.  to do this alone is very hard and it just means you rented at a discount.

You pick a pool and hash and the pool sucks make hardly any blocks = you get fucked and lose.  even though you paid a good rate.

In this case I paid a very good rate and the pool whaled   = the best of both worlds.

Kano's pool is the best ppns pool to do this because the 500% gives more days of hashing having earnings which tend to flatten the risk out a bit.

here is what is left of my earning power.  I ended on a high rental  this keeps the avg up I was

 100-100-100-100-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-80 more 10's-200      I am left with some of the 10 rentals and the 200 at the end my avg is down to 4.84th

4.84/1800 = 0.00268889     


      0.00268889  x 25 = 0.067 btc  if we hit a block     and that will decline.

the key to renting get a good price.     High---low---high.

Thank you both.  I understand that you have to get a good rate and still have to hope your pool finds blocks during the rental, but renting it the only way I'll ever see multiple TH at my disposal.  That is, until I can convince the wife to let me build a mine in the backyard...

Yep, it takes a little while to ramp up.  However like you said the reward is much sweeter once your NDiff starts increasing.  I've been really happy with Kano CK Pool, because you are actually getting paid for the work you do.  Also, from my personal experience so far Kano is very transparent, fair and honest.

Well, technically, it's actually that it takes 500% Diff of constant mining for your block Reward to reach it's maximum you can get per block
The 500% currently is ~146hrs, as you said, a bit over 6 days.

Your shares define how much you will be Rewarded each block and continue to be Rewarded in each block found up to 500% after they were submitted.
The 500% reduces the variance Rewarded per block, but also means it takes 5x longer for each share to get it's full Reward.
It doesn't reduce the Reward, it spreads each share's total Reward out over the 500% after it.
