Hello everybody,

most important question first: Why is there a need for another cryptocurrency at all?

One of the main problems in modern society is the gap between the rich and the poor (~700 people own half of all fiat currencies) . On the other hand nearly every community (and nation) in the world has similar problems with low tax income and excessive debt payments. Most cryptocurrencys i know can not solve those issues (~900 people own half of all Bitcoins and with other currencies its nearly the same).

Taking a closer look, those are 2 problems of the same "coin". The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. To induce a fair and easymoney system redistribution should be included inside the currency so inequity becomes obsolete.

Freicoin introduced a monetary system (to cryptocurrencys) that is called demurrage. Other than inflationary or deflationary money the overall money supply stays the same but you pay a small fee each block that is used to pay the miners and fill up the foundation funds. The funds are used to provide matched donations to Non-Profit-Organisations.

But demurrage can be used for very different kind of purposes. Globe which is also a Freicoin clone uses it as a kind of stabilization fund and programmer payment. But in every case there is a constant circulation flow of money towards a given purpose.

Inside Solidar there will is a redistribution of ~20% each year on stored SLRs. 0.002 % goes to the miners while 19.98 % is stored to pay a basic income project.
F.e. when you have 100 coins in your wallet at the beginning of the year, at the end of the year you have ~80 coins left while 0.1% of the coins is used to pay the mining 99.9% will be payed out per basic income. In this way the circulation of money is guaranteed by free money.

The basic income is 10 SLR per month (to register use our facebook solidar bot at: m.me/solidar.winc. The email verification at http://verify.winc-ev.com will be deactivated by the end of May 17').

It is essential to understand that even the rich can not change our monetary system and that we are all supporting usury and war by accepting the fiat currencies as money.

We want to give the World a choice, a choice to end this inhuman system of redistribution (from poor to rich).

Specifcations:

POW: SHA-256
Coins: 20,000,000
Blocktime: 10 min
Block Reward: 3800 (SLR-Fund) 200 (miners) Block halving:
Update: Block Reward: 3960 (WLC-Fund) 40 (miners) Block halving(every ~ 17,5 days; 2500 Blocks).
After that: 20 % pa. demurrage.
Demurrage rate: 20 %
Dependencies: The same like Freicoin (Bitcoin dependencies plus gmp and mpfr)
Basic income payout: Monthly via m.me/solidar.winc
Merged mining: Asap
Update: Merged mining=yes

If you are interested or just want to ask some questions feel free to do so.

Taxes in a legitimate government are used to pay for maintenance of cities, assistance of citizens, and retirement. However, the taxation concept behind "Freicoin" does not benefit anyone, or provides very little benefits to the miners. The only person it benefits is the person receiving the funds- which is you. You may claim that the funds will be donated to charities, but you must realize that donating the taxes to charities will create a constant selling pressure. As I can see, the taxpayment per block is 95%. Ridiculous. So 95% of the block reward will be dumped right back into the market by charities. I don't see a sustainable coin economy here.

Oh, to be bluntly honest, no one likes taxes Wink Why make a cryptocoin revolving around taxes? You bring a quite interesting concept though.

Sorry, the wallet is planned to be uploaded on 03 of October 2014 at 12 pm central European time. In Germany on the third of October (which is the date of german reunion and the end of the cold war) it is planned by alternative media to have a day of truth where media actors report the truth or nothing. Updates will follow.

rik: let me know if you need any help, you may want to start it as merge-minable (if you do, it'll be merged on my pool)

either way, I'm watching it.

I can review the source (you can remove the genesis block) if you want me to

*EDIT*
if you do go merge-minable, make sure you allow FULL block headers as opposed to just parts of it. FreiCoin's block headers (as well as those you may be interested in merging it) are not the same as bitcoin's (as you're surely aware by now)

Good point. There are several question that arose here. First: what happens to newly mined Bitcoins. I belive that many of the miners sell it as soon as they are at a acceptable price.

Second: Yes it is me that is "receiving" the funds. An enormous amount of trust is needed to make it work as scamcoins rise at every street corner and there are many ways to loose the funds even if someone is reliable. I cannot answer this question fully but as there will be much work in the future i will need people that help me and control my further work. I already configured cyclos (a mysql based program long before Bitcoin was introduced) to do the same, but it was much harder to find people to support the project and to support the centralized structure.

Third: The sustainable coin economy arises by the acceptance. Convince the Local authorities and the merchants will follow.

Forth: Looked at it under the light cryptocoins are just another payment method like paypal, so just because the community is not too much into taxes (i can understand that point) it is not excluding each other.

Hi Joe, that would be very nice!

merge mining is a little bit different in Freicoin and i have no doubt that it will take some time but i don't want to wait to publish the coin. Since i will renew the genesisblock anyway the code is at www.github.com/worldleadcurrency/wlc

There are a few important changes i had not uploaded right now.

Best wishes Rik

I can try to give you a hand with some of the merged mining things, probably wont make it in time for your launch, but probably by the time you do go merged.

Do you have someone ready with pool set up or should I get someone to help you get one going for people?

How did you end up building the genesis block? Did you use the python script by maaku or did you do it another way?

Anyway, i think it's pretty cool that you are looking for a solution to problems that are faced every day (how to tax without discrimination).

Enjoying tax or not, we are all taxed (or tariffed in some countries). There is massive corruption in every single governing body and using demurrage solves the issue of taxation well. The only issue is that demurrage is taken off per block and not per time period which would possibly allow malicious users to hold off on mining the coin until their taxes are due and then slam the network to either get taxed less, or get their tax out of the way. (or to mess with someone else who is being taxed). Having proper blocktimes will be a huge factor in success. Merged mining would probably end up negating it, but for a while you may see

BTW, how are you doing charity applications etc? (singular foundation, one dev, centralized voting mechanism, decentralized voting mechanism)

I was not trolling.
I would have no problem with taxes if they were more like subscriptions.
I would actually consider subscribing to a coin support tax and when the coin gets improved with anon and etc I would be happy to continue the subscription.

Equal taxing is not fair taxing.
For example someone with 200 m/hs generating 500 blocks per month and someone with 100 m/hs generating 250 blocks per month are going to get taxed equally but the person with 200m/hs is going to have more coins after taxation.

Thank you for taking time to actually make an argument. It's much better to see reasoning behind things, it gives me something to begin to understand the reasoning behind a person's words

I'll disagree with you that equal taxing is not fair, i believe it is.

Also, not everyone holding this coin will be mining. The idea of the coin (as I understand it, and rik tell me if I'm wrong) is to get a working (mostly) decentralized monetary system with taxation but with a finite coin supply to meet the needs of an economy without printing money out of thin air allowing for donations to charities as a means of distribution of wealth beyond just a few people

either way, good discussion. Maybe you can suggest some ways that you can help rik out as well.

Hi again,

as October the third was just the planned date, i now am convinced that merged mining absolutely necessary to start with. So at the moment i am testing MM because Freicoin has some unique features that have to be taken into account. I keep it updated.

You are right Joe, but i have to clarify one thing: it is not about charity this coin is a offer for Bitcoin embracing communities to profit directly with a monthly tax payment form crypto curriencies.

See you,

As i am testing merged mining right now i can not say, when i will start it. But i will announce it early enough in this thread, sorry for the delay. I first wanted to start it without Merged mining, but as you know it could mean too much trouble for the security of the chain.

Greetings Rik

Hello world,

merged mining is implemented and tested and everything works fine. I have to do a few adjustments still, so i set the new starting date to 30th of November 2014 at 12 pm central European time (Remember remember the 30th of November Wink).

The Windows-wallet and the source-code will be available here:

http://worldcurrency.jimdo.com/downloads/

Many greeting Rik

Hi Rik,
how is it going?

Can I find somewhere more information how the coins will be distributed?

All the good,
