I created a similar doc for another marijuana community I support.  I removed all their community additions and just included the information I personally gathered. Absolutely no reason I can't share this approach with different coins that I personally support. Each document will take a different path and that's perfectly fine. 

If this community chooses to utilize this shared doc, it's a great way to coordinate marketing campaigns. I will make a follow-up post on how to best use it.

I'd recommend someone do the following:

- Make a private Google Docs and list all the people in this thread that are supporting MaryJaneCoin

- Send each one a PM, let them know you're helping coordinate marketing efforts and to review and ADD to this document

You Want to Help, Where to Start - Strategy #3

I originally wrote a modified version for another community that I thought might also work well for yours:


1. If you find yourself saying "It would be great if we could.." be the catalyst. Make the contact and then post to the forum "I thought it would be great to do X, I did Y. Can I get some help doing Z".

2. Review the MaryJane Google Doc each day and CONTRIBUTE to it as you find new resources

3. Create a twitter account if you don't have one already.  If you say "I don't do twitter", I ask you to rethink that strategy from a marketing standpoint. I'm not asking you to tweet about your favorite celeb like a 12 year old tween, I'm asking you to please join us in marketing efforts.

4. Create a Facebook account. If you 'don't do Facebook', please see #3

5. Create a Reddit account

6. Start tweeting. If you don't know where to start, look at the list provided in #2.  You can do searches, find twitter accounts that would be sympathetic to our cause. If you find some good ones, add them to the Google doc.

7. Retweet great posts from the official and user supported MaryJaneCoin twitter

8. Do the same for Facebook and Reddit.

9. Hit up Google for keywords like 'Cannabis' 'Marijuana' 'News Outs' etc..   email THOSE people, use the interview as an introduction

10. If you make a post about people you've contacted, make sure to add it to the Google Doc. If you noticed someone else posted a useful list of contacts, make sure YOU add it to the Google Doc.

11. Private message others in this thread that you feel are on the same page. Create your own mini campaigns.  "Hey x, I noticed you did y, maybe we could work together on x"

12. Every time you are about to hit refresh on Bittrex or CoinMarketCap, consider using that time to do 1-14.

Most Efficient Way to Handle FUD - Strategy #4


This idea didn't seem to take off when I first posted it somewhere else, maybe this community will find it useful.  Wasting time on attacks never attracts new investors. As this coin becomes more popular, the attacks will start increasing, sucking the time out of your people.

"Here's an efficient way to handle the 'fud' while limiting the drama and time that could be better allocated on high value projects. I've seen this done on a small scale with other coins.

- Go back through the thread and list every common question or FUD statement

- The community puts together an insightful response to each in a numbered FAQ

- You refer to the link and item as a reply

Person 1: (lines and lines of text with inaccuracies )

Community member: I disagree because of x. (1 sentence) this was already covered here:

(Insert URL) ITEM 3

Simple, consistent, removes the emotion and the clutter. Endless bickering here is low value proposition. Our customers are outside this bubble. I know some people enjoy rambling on forums, for them, I have no solution. "

MJ's value will equal to the market's reaction to:

1. The developers continuing to innovate
2. The relationships being forged within the real world
3. The ability for the grassroots community to mobilize

Most of us can't help with #1 and #2, but we can ALL take part daily in number 3.  I don't know our final price, but I know the harder we actually work, the 'luckier' we'll get. All other guesses are wild speculation at this time in my opinion.

Great idea.
I would offer a slight tweak to make it even easier.

I would say put this in a link under the website domain, but I would not like all the fud being addressed on the website. Just have it limited to bct.

That being said, do as above and list it all out in a "fud faq" and in only one post (to bad we did not reserve the #2 post on the thread) then the dev can replace his post #6 with it. Then just invite all fud to read over post #6 (or whatever post it becomes listed at).
Just seems easier than foot noting each response out, if I understood the post correctly. And can be updated to include more at any time.
