Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

is the wallet windows 10 compatible? it seems to start to sync up load a few blocks in then stop?

I've been running it on windows 10 for months now with no dramas. maybe you need to add the list of nodes to get better network connection |

Question: rebuilt my pc, downloaded xwc wallet. Have left it on all night and there's still 134687 blocks remaining. It's staking like a beast though. It keeps saying " WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers."
Then it downloads a bit more then this comes up a bit. Is this normal? Thanks

Staking can take place at any time after the 2 day (48hrs) age period – some people stake right away, others take longer than 4 days. |
