Good job devs getting things released. I like the way the project is shaping up. Looking forward to the App store in a few weeks!

It's not in few weeks  Grin

Thank you very much to all the devs. I have held Gaia for sometime and I only got to download the wallet today. I have to say it is amazing, so well done and best of luck in the future. The more I read your roadmap the more I see limitless number of services that can be hosted (thats if I understood it properly). Thank you and good luck

Can the 1.0.0 wallet stake? Maybe I am just a bit impatient, but I have not got any interest yet. I put some coins in the wallet about 7 hours ago. I unlocked the wallet for staking maybe 2-3 hours ago.

Does the wallet need 4 hours in "staking" mode perhaps to start gaining the interest? Any quick tips would help. Just messing around with the wallet and want to make sure i'm doing this right so as not to waste time.

Thank you very much, RagingBull, kro55 and team. The new wallet update works great.

Thanks also to aminerminer and the gaia community for your contributions. I love the new skins!

Hi..I have a question. Can I mine Gaiacoin  solo? Reason why I'm asking  is simple ..My system found several blocks forGaia pool  and  for last found I got only 25 shares  while  15 guys mined included me.At  the time when my system found block  pool all 15 miners have total around 80MH and my system is running around 18 -20 MH at the moment where I found block . Why I got only 25 shares  this time??Before that  I got 800 shares when I found block...If I can try( just try) solo can be a great .

Mining at the multipool does not mean you are mining GAIA coin, you are mining other coins with a coin switcher, and those coins are sold and GAIA is bought with the BTC from that sale, and you are paid in GAIA.
As far as shares go on multipool, the 25 shares are better than the 800, as that means it took less shares to find the block. Higher shares does not mean better. Shares are based on your MH and how long it takes to find a block. You can mine those coins solo and sell them yourself to buy GAIA, but the multipool takes into account the price/diff of the coin and switches to the most profitable by itself. So solo might not be the better choice. GAIA is 100% POS so you can mine GAIA directly only by leaving GAIAcoin in open wallet. The wallet will stake coins for you. Staking starts after 4 hours from you receiving the coin in wallet, and takes some time to build stake weight before you start mining POS blocks.

Thank you .Great lesson for me .I'm trying to be  a good student.May I ask you last question?? Wallet will stake coins auto ( by itself)
or I have to configure wallet for that?? Or just live open with some amount of coins.Reason why I'm asking because all my coins from pool I sended to Bittrex .Now I see that was not the best idea ..Thank you My special thank you for your patience.

Staking will work when you have coins in your wallet. Just open wallet and wait. Staking Begins a few hours ( i think 4) after You received coins. Look at transactions then... The more coins you have the more you are generating. If you have a password for wallet you have to open it for a while to stake...

new wallet doesnt seem to work for my all i get is "Cannot GET /"

Plz read how to install. You have to download new wallet, extract in new folder and start gaia.
If you have old wallet then wait a few minutes to download the blockchain,. After that copy the old wallet.dat
into new folder.

Works fine!
i done exactly what dev said and it didnt work ???i would not of posted here if I didnt Wink
edit:ok I deleted everything after backing up wallet data and tried again from scratch and bingoooooooooo Wink Cheesy Grin
really like the range of skins.adds a nice touch

I'm a bit dazzled. Gaia wallet doesn't seem very user friendly. I downloaded the wallet and installed it, everything seemed fine, but now after restarting there is no trace of gaia launcher and wallet shortcut on the right side of the tool bar. What am I doing wrong?

I tried restarting the gaia.exe file, I get the gaiaLauncher box, but port is missing and it simply doesn't launch.

It seems to work now, but there is some glitch. If you exit the launcher icon in the tool bar and upon restarting exe file, I had to make several attempts, before the wallet actually opened.

And yes, the wallet seems a nice foundation, hoping to see it polished even more and with added promised features according to roadmap. Skins are nice addition, but we need real features as announced. And when that comes, with a good marketing gaia is good to go higher places.

if you shut down the wallet/launcher. sometimes it can take upto (with me) i think ~10 seconds before deamon actually shuts down. it will not relaunch when still shutting down.

. try waiting a little longer before pressing launch again.(sometimes shuts down faster than other times with me) hope it helps.

Do we have any plans as a coin community to encourage other exchanges to trade GAIA? A little more exposure and diversity in where the coins are traded would be good. Its never a good thing to leave so much coin at 1 exchange address.

Is there any way, as a community we can push towards trading on a few more exchanges? I am sure a few are out there that would like to be a part of this new concept in virtual currencies from the ground up.
