why not making an official announcement about that app that ppl are waiting for few weeks now?

why making this hidden to -hopefully- newcomers?

why not explaining what it does, where to find it, how to use it?

why when you first start it, it hangs your wallet completely, even if you hit F5 or refresh your browser?


can't wait to use it, but after 10 minutes, my gaia web platform is still trying to load.. and i don't know what to do because i don't know what is happening because nothing was said here? Should I seek for more info thru here, the twitter, the facebook, the reddit, the IRC ? where is the official place? or it's a mix between each of them in equal parts of info divided between each?

Btw, keep in mind that I think this new app is awesome. An excellent idea, that I'm sure took lots of coding and testing and are once again another example that the Gaia crew have in mind to provide a strong coin with a different approach that combine fun, usability and participation. This new scratch app is another demonstration of that... so let's not neglect that newest app and give it all the merit it deserves ;-)

Yes I still do these, we are on target for the new app release, should be done on Sunday, and released next Monday.
I think I mentioned this on IRC already but gnargnar was not around to remind me  about the forum.

I know covertress does that everyday on IRC, but she is happy with IRC updates

How long scratch code is valid? Is it indefinite or not?

You do not need to enter the code to scratch, however, to the scratch code is valid till the ticket that match that code is scratched.
The add code box will be used to load tickets given away in promos, it's not for existing tickets.

Also since this about scratch tickets here is some more info, first load will be slow since the app will build a database inside your wallet of your pos blocks and award you 1 ticket
for every 5 POS blocks, this could take a long time for people staking from day one but the upside is you get more tickets.
This might cause a temporary freeze in your daemon, do not shut the app down, let it finish.

You will make more scratch tickets with more POS blocks, so you do not need to hold tickets. The more POS blocks you get the more tickets you get.

I don't think that has anything to do with it, I think cards are just luckier than others. I seem to be getting 2 scratch cards a day with my 25k GAIA and planning to grab some more when I get a chance... and if I win the big one I'll be putting half of it towards the give away donation address more peeps need to see how cool GAIA is

The most I've won is 250 GAIA on a single scratch off card.

And I awoke today to 15 new scratch cards!
