Yes you could solo mine. but for the same number of hashes you get multiple coins. If you really just want LIT merge mine and sell the other coins and buy more Lit. |

One of the advantages of all coins in the blake 256 blake coin ecosystem is that if you only want to mine a child coin i.e. Lithium in this case you can do so.....
It can be done with solo or pooled mining.
It will not effect others (the majority) who will merge mine.
Do as you like !!

You could also setup an eloipool instance on your box and solo mine all the coins, that wouldn't hurt  |
