C-CEX requires 0.5 BTC I think too much,
However, in order to remove the exchange 2M on this project will be a big blow,
2M can you donate it,
Please consider dev!

well, as the developer of dogecoindark, (sunerok/dogedDEV in chat) i can only hope they made an error in decimal,

as asking a half of a bitcoin to literally enter a couple characters in a linux prompt seems completely insane. (getprivkey command)

i will wait to hear the response from c-cex and see if there was a miscommunication, as i am able to get a private key in literally less than 5 seconds of "work".

if they still request .5BTC then i feel that really is bad business, and will remove them from our list of exchanges on our OP and our website,

and also apply at c-cex for the job of "privkey retriever", and i'll do it for 5 dollars each time!

i do agree that the error is your fault, however, extortion is a horrible way to do business. they have already admitted they have the power

to help, but asking $175 USD its just terrible for the customers.

the admins of other exchanges we are listed on, are in our chat room 24/7 and would never pull something like that. lets hope c-cex fixes this.

After this post from dev if anyone still don't see the future of this coin he/she/it is blind and deserves to die poor! btw I hope C-CEX comes to it senses and help him not kick him when he's down.

i already told him i will compensate his 2million if c-cex does not.. i wrote them a letter to try n help him.

for c-cex, this is a very easy customer issue to fix. you just have to type 'getprivkey', and then import that privkey into the correct wallet. takes under 1 minute to complete.

but yes, i will cover his coins if c-cex does not ;]

no dark shibes will ever be left behind.. not on my watch.. ;]

we do enjoy the fact that the admins from the other exchanges that host us,

like bleutrade, coin-swap and cryptorush,

hang out in our chat and are very interactive with our community   Smiley

i have not heard back from c-cex yet, but will let you guys know how it unfolds.

i am hoping they will fix it for a much lower fee, or none at all, however like i said, ill cover his loss if not.

every customer should get a little help here and there though...

very cool of DogeD dev offering to compensate for the lost coins.

Great story for the grand kids someday. "Thats right Billy, me and grandma bought this beautiful home with 2M DogeCoinDark. That nice man who developed this coin was extremely generous when he helped me out after I was wronged by a now long gone crypto exchange. Is that him on the cover of Time, Grandpa? Yes it is, he helped change the world"

lol beautiful story  Cheesy but with 2M Doged you "will have bought" the entire Manhattan island  Grin

In 1626 the Dutch bought the island of Manhattan from Native Americans. ...in the year 2045 Japerry as he's known payed 2M Doged for the island in an agreement in which he would transform the Manhattan island in one of the main intergalactic hubs in the solar system. His fortune today would roughly translate to 50 trillion dollars back in the year 2014\

below is the Doged monument being built by him in honor of the great Doged dev

Well I got the final answer from C-Cex. They refuse to budge. Here is their last response:

2014-12-12 05:42:49 C-CEX support
0.5 BTC is a fee I have to pay to technitian for stopping 2 daemons, setting them on maintenance on exchange, extracting keys, importing keys, running both again, checking sync, activating them on exchange, testing. It is not about wallets on normal computer. It is exchange and everyting is much more complicated.

So I guess I will no longer use/recommend them.

So they basically want 0.5 BTC for 0.04 BTC worth of DODGED at current price.

Hmm..........

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

I'm not quite understand but..
Do they really need to stopping the daemons and put their exchange into maintenance mode to obtain a single private key?

Nice system you got there, C-CEX..

sounds like they lose tons of money any time they have to fix a problem. reaaalllyyy??? Wink
i would like to hear more about the hidden costs of running an exchange and how much those greedy "technitians" charge for fighting the daemons.

i was sent the same response. not sure why they would have to get 'technitians' to stop the daemons and 'resync' as i've never had to stop a daemon to import a private key.

well, i sent the 2 mill. it's a shame that's how they handled it.  Undecided

hi there all, there seems to be an easy stuff up at C-CEX. i bought 8.8 million coins on coinswap, sent them to my doged wallet, then to C-CEX.
the problem is they have dogecoindark (DD) at C-CEX and they are only 3 spaces apart on the deposits list.
long story short, this is the DOGECOINDARK (DOGED) wallet they gave me DD=DQEAnxc7gVMN2NNJpL1FaTBM518gkJGVaT

and this is the DOGECOINDARK (DD) wallet they gave me                    DOGED=DQMY8eP5eJTn94k8SLrmqAD8qz58DFnJwe
i saw the DQ at the beggining of the address, and failed to realize it was actually DD Cry
is there anything i can do to fix this mess Embarrassed
thank you in advance to any responses.

C-CEX also asked me to pay .5 BTC to recover 8.8 million DOGED.

C-CEX admit it is possible. here is the response i got.

2014-10-29 04:33:49 C-CEX support
Theoretically it can work. We can order this service for You. Since it is complex procedure of managing 2 online exchange wallets It will cost us 0.5 BTC but we can't promice positive result.
2014-10-29 04:55:41 breebob
well then no don't worry about trying to retrieve the coins. i definately don't want to add costs to your procedure. i will accept the coins are gone. the fact that i know it can be done is what drove me. again do not worry about retrieving the doged coins as i do not wish to add cost's to you. that is not fair for you to pay extra for my error. thank you for getting back to me.

the fact that i knew it was possible was the reason i dug my heels in. I just didn't think it would be that expensive to do.
i will not make other people pay for an error i made.

Thank you to all who posted.

c-cex DOGED is working properly and there is alot of volume. if you sent

coins to DD instead of DOGED on exchange, they are probably gone, but

you can try asking c-cex admin. always double check where you send coins.

congrats guys for making it to number 1 again on c-cex =]

im currently working on android wallet, and then tor wallet, and enjoying our trip

to the dark side of the moon =]
