Nah. Nobody donate when they can download for free any more.

Been sick with fever for more than a week. Probobly the seasonal Flue.

Just tested pentablake sp-mod #3.

The exe from 2015 does 110MHASH on the gtx 1070.
With a little pascal tuning I managed 120MHASH

Opensource: 70MHASH.

So My private kernel is +71.4% faster

(gigabyte 1070 g1 gaming standard clocks)

is this algo even profitable? i see that joincoin is still there with a relative good price

Joincoin only mints about $20 worth of coins per-algo per-day. Not even worth touching with a 10 foot pole. That's where my rant about coins that adjust based on market value came from a month or so ago.

i see multi algo, always end like this, not a sigle one is profitable

Joincoin was quite profitable a year ago, before the block reward decreased to almost nothing.

Block reward is half now, but value is more than double. Unfortunately difficulty is also higher than one year ago.

I get 132 Mh/s on the same card with Tpruvot's release at only +80 Mhz (1885-1911 Mhz).

But as far as I know only Joincoin uses that algo.

But then again, I'm interested in optimizations in EVERY algo, not just the mainstream ones. Well, especially not the mainstream ones.

Mm... guess back when I mined this I had a smaller operation and as such you could dominate a couple of the algos and get relatively decent profits with micromanagement. Profit is about the same, emission rate is still next to nothing though... which is about $20 per algo. $20 per rig is a pretty good deal, but you would have to get all of that and you can't with competition... It definitely isn't a coin for med or larger size miners.

$20 is pretty good if you only need 5 cards to get it. $4 per card per day. :-)

And if you have undisclosed optimized miners, you just need a couple cards.
I once used to mine 3 algos with a single rig.

I think whirlpool could need some opensource love.. Wink

Pallas, thanks for the updates on the joincoin github.

I know, I should opensource my whirlpool sgminer, but I'd need to integrate it into a recent fork and fix it for polaris, but I don't have the time nor the cards to test it.
Ccminer can be optimised a bit but it'll run much faster on amd anyways.

Yeah it is, but you have to micromanage it, that's if no one else decides they want to mine it too and if a multipool doesn't stop by. Safe to say anything mentioned here immediately gets destroyed. So you have to swap to other algos and back again after difficulty and miners readjust. If you were a programmer, you probably could write a script that moves around the J algos and get the most amount of money out of it. Some algos don't even work like sha as it's asic'd. So at most you could make maybe $120 off of all of J per day, if no one else was mining it (which we all know isn't true).

That being said, I wouldn't even be talking about it if I thought it was viable to mine. Jcoins days have come and gone. Regardless of how healthy the market is, there isn't nearly enough emission and from a minting perspective the coin really should adjust globally instead of on a per algo basis (each algo has it's own difficulty and emission). Every multi-algo coin I've seen adjusts on a per-algo basis and emission rates for each algo are set.

In other news Equihash has once again gained like 15% additional hashrate out of no where.

Probably, a big farm has a huge batch of very old GPUs, which they can bring online at any time to mine at marginal profitability. LOL

Speaking about crypto predictions, looks like lbc has finally found floor and has actually started normal procedures...

a very small little pump, i would take it in consideration when it return to 2k+ and heading to 10k

in theory it should be pumped at least another time

Yep, what a surprise. 5x, 10x, 20x, 100x?

i was waiting for this pump to be honest i hope it can go to 10k at least, it can go as high as 20k, if we compare it to the pump of feathercoin

i think both coin are in the same boat now or very akin to have similar treatment by whales

I usually mined 50ZCL per day now with these farms its not even 10ZCL anymore per day!
At suprnova is 220MH running and 99% of net hash which isn't healthy anymore.

The question is if the pooloperators support the farms or hobby miners...at the moment hobby miners die hard.

GTX 1080Ti rocks da house... seriously... this card is a beast³

lbry is pascal optimized out of the box, mining started couple of months later than pascal release.

i hope it can go to 10k at least, it can go as high as 20k

Call me crazy but I am waiting one lbc to be more than $1.

you have https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releases

for AB, do your own testing, been a while for me, i seems to remember lbry was like zcash and liked core OC versus memory OC.

Yes it's working well on pascal cards, but sp_ got private further optimised version faster than open-source version.

Code:
LBRY sp-mod #3 vs opensource 1.8.1
Faster compute 5.0 +5-7% (750,750ti,960m)
Faster compute 5.2 +10-25% (950,960,970,980,980ti,titanx)
Faster compute 6.1 +5-11% (1070,1080) (gtx 1060 0%)

So i was wondering if he got a new one & stuff. By the way, you list your 1.8.1 being the opensource version but in fact if you read the help of this one, it doesn't support lbry, which opensource are you comparing to sp_ ?

LBRY sp-mod #4 is tuned for the 1060 3gb. I have reached 197MHASH with oc. How much can you do with the opensource?
