how do I add a failover with your miner?
You could make a script like this: :loop ccminer -r 5 (pool) ccminer -r 5 (backuppool) ccminer -r 5 (backuppool2) goto loop -r 5 will try to reconnect 5 times to the pool. If not it will exit the program and continue to the next pool.

Then you can make another script that kills the ccminer process/script and restart your bat file every 2 hours or similar.
As scrypter writes, scripts like these have already been made by other users.

You know, the scariest part of cryptos isn't when you're making a $1 per day per $200 card, it's when people are making $8 a day with the same hardware, geeks start frothing at the mouth as they hump the air at the thought of building their ghetto empire, and the whole thing spirals out of control as the hardware markets can't keep up with the demand... then the bubble subsides and we go back down to $1 per day, but you don't know how far the markets are going to fall... So it may not end up at $1 per day when things recess.
Whoever is manning this crypto pump that's been happening since spring needs to take things more slowly.

Hey - relative newcomer here with what is most likely a newb question:
How do we determine if we should be using the CUDA 6.5 or 7.5 releases?
I have a GTX 970 in my current machine, and will have multiple 1070s in my rig - or does this actually depend on having a CUDA toolkit version installed on the machine?
I believe I have CUDA 8.0... should I remove 8.0 and install one of the others, and get the corresponding release, or does having CUDA 8.0 on this machine mean I can use 6.5 and/or 7.5 as is?

580s are now up to $8.56 in revenue per day.
A 580 makes more mining mainstream coins then a 1070 mining most niche coins (not mainstream). More then that, it makes 40% more if you mine mainstream coins. Why are there still people buying and continuing to saturate Nvidia hashrate on multiple algos? Do they not know how the game works?
I highly advise anyone who knows of a niche coin or is mining about it not to mention it here or in Epsylons thread for the time being. I've already seen most of the niche coins getting depleted. You're shooting yourself in the foot whenever you mention or brag about them. Emission isn't a bottomless well.

i think now it's more about who hold more than who mine the most profitable coin, because many coins are increasing withotu a reason and by holding you can have a very high return, without considering what you are mining

Because AMD has no future with these cards. If you take ethereum away, AMD mines for shit. And the only reason we are in this situation is because nobody cared to adjust genoil's CUDA kernel for daggerhashimoto on latest Pascal cards with WDDM2.1.

Of course. And 1080 should do more, at least 35. And 1080 Ti should do 50+. If you check 1080 Ti, you can see it reaches 35, but memload is only 75% and you cannot change that no matter OC. There is something seriously NOT adjusted for GDDR5X.

Yeah I hate that there's no love for GDDR5X
I wouldn't mind paying a 3,4% dev fee for whoever gets to develop an efficient miner for this type of memory.

It is all about latency and I'm very doubt that you can mask it in software when we talk about dagger-hashimoto. Polaris cards with stock bios are also showin < 100% mem load and poor performance until better timings resulting lower latency are applied. It is not software - but hardware feature.
