According to the video, Genesis mining have around 1 MUSD a month in powercost, and they have farms spread around in the world. I don't think this number is correct. 1MUSD per year perhaps?
The gpu's in video #1 is pulling around 250 watt each. Seems to be all radeon based 6 cards per rig. Probobly sapphire 380x Nitro cards by the look of the grill. (I think the first video was made in 2016)
A 250W gpu use $0.6 a day @ $0.1 /KWh $0.3 a day @ $0.05/KWh
1 600 000 GPU's ??
The correct number is probobly around 133 333 gpu's. Still abit high. Help me out here. Any insiders?

6 hangars, I count a total of 84 000 GPU's on the site. But i`ve seen pics of other genesis mining farms where the gpu layout is different, assuming they arent the same we can say double that, 160 000 GPU's or something. Thats a shit ton of GPU's. Now where are the 2.74 million other GPU's ?

Having issues with API. Tried -b 0.0.0.0 -b 0.0.0.0:4068 -b 192.168.1.x -b 192.168.1.x:4068
Never get Windows firewall message, can't see in awesome miner. Using Lbry miner. ccminer-1-8-3-git-tpruvot works fine with same settings. Does this miner really not support remote monitoring? What kind of crap miner wouldn't support remote monitoring? Minor speed increase is worthless if you never know if a rig goes down, can't check temps, etc.

Etereum epoc 135:
25mhash: Gtx 1060 6gb with samsung mem +1000 on the memclock. (70 watt) 23mhash: Gtx 1060 6gb with micron mem +600 on the memclock.(70 watt) 20mhash: Gtx 1060 6gb with hynix mem (70 watt)
You can check in gpuz wich type of memory you have. Some cards have different memory on the same brandname, so if you are lucky you have samsung on all your cards. +1000 isn't always stable, so you need to find the correct clock for each rig and group 6 cards with the same memory for optimal performance.

With the Ethereum 30% hashrate drop for AMD cards r9 270,370,380,280x,380x,rx460,rx470,RX400,RX500. starting in epoc 140 (in 25 days) Genesis mining and the others with legacy hardware will burn. NVIDIA owners are not affected.

Yes that is great news for nvidia miners ( for the rest of ETH mining)

It's 30% at like Epoch 150+, not 140, and this will be about 10 weeks out. AMD cards have enjoyed cheaper prices (until bubble), and better dual mining. Even with slowdown, normal price Polaris cards still profitable, there are other coins to mine.

Minor speed increase is worthless if you never know if a rig goes down, can't check temps, etc.
The api code has been removed. You can use the stats on the pool. Ok, so you intentionally remove working API code, increase speed by 2-4%, charge a 1.67% fee. How is this beneficial? If a rig were to run too hot, someone would never know. If one were to stop mining, it would be a while before notified from pool, and what if you switch what coins/pools you use? There are tons of uses for remote monitoring, such as also remotely switching pools, or config. I am still calling this miner completely useless without API. I would rather lose 2% speed than have a rig go down, or overheat, and wait to be notified by email that I don't check every 5 minutes, or not know a rig is hot without remote desktop every rig I own 5 times a day. Also, pools tend to email a lot of false positives on rigs down, so emails get ignored. I also have mine 6 different coins (various GPUs, and ASICs), so I don't feel I should have to constantly check 6 different pools.

Yup and If you're mining using the same intensity settings you'd be earning on par with a 1070 with a 580 instead of 30% more then it. But we all know the good miners (which I'm sure exist... somewhere) will tweak their intensity settings in favor of a secondary algo, which will offset the reduction in hashrate for ethereum. Something about Nvidia never getting assembly changes Claymore made for AMD which doubled the secondary hashrate they get too, kinda a big deal. If Nvidia had a decent dual miner for eth+alt coin which I've asked for for years we'd be talking about something, but nup.

lol... The new kids decided to squak about most of the niche algos, so those are off the table. You can earn more mining equihash then those algos. People don't understand how nvidia mining works, it's all niche and as soon as you talk about that niche it's gone. Matter of a fact, most of the ones I know about are earning a $1 less per day then equihash. But that aside, you can earn more then equihash mining eth+dcr... but I'm sure you know that because you've entered all those numbers in. Eth+dcr is currently earning $4 compared to $3.53 with equihash on a 1070. Yeah, so no... We're back to square one... which is equihash. Nice everyone always mentions how much nvidia makes on niche algos... but they don't, not anymore... Wow it's like something I mentioned over the last couple months about how insanely volatile and easy to saturate niche algos/coins are. Ah, but I'm sure you bought a bunch of 1080/tis because they're amazing! so now you're fucked and can't mine ethereum+anything and are stuck on equihash anyway. I can see why you're lamenting about 'nvidia mining lowly ethereum', but you know...

Fortunatelly i dont have to mine eth+dcr with a 1070, because those shit and easy to saturate coins you talk about can be mined longer than you think.
