With samsung memory you can do 600h/s and that give you $1.43 a day. With 100 samsung cards, you will ROI in 1.8 days. There is almost no difference between the 6GB version and the 3gb. The limit is in the memory bus wich is 192bit for the 1060 series.. Did you calculate ETH rate for Samsung cards? I guess no. And why buying 1060 for Monero? RX580 will give you 900H/s .

Coinwarz is using wrong ethereum calculator. If you mine you get 20% less than the calculator.(not precise after homestead release, use doesn't use Frontier-style diff)
Most algos are in the shitter now, but my monero mod is more profitable than the other biggest coins. (Ethereum and zcash)
With my mod you can run the gtx 1060 @ 50% tdp (600h/s @ 60 watt)

So, only you are using right calculator, right? What if I don't have 100 1060 Samsung cards?

If you have 10 samsung cards, you roi in about 18 days. If coinwars show $1.20 a card for ethereum, you end up with around $1 if you mine.

I've set 600H/s for Cryptonight on https://www.coinwarz.com myself, and it shows profit only 1.35$ per day. And for ETH for 24 MH/s it shows 1.28$ per day/. Still 7 cents difference. In your calculation the only number is true - you want to get 0.1 BTC, that's all. And don't forget that current price of monero is much higher in BTC or ETH than median for the week. Or do you guarantee somehow it will stay ?

Ethereum will hardfork in september and go POS.
Wha? Metropolis hard fork yes but POS definitely not. Early 2018 if you're being optimistic.

Each time the ethereum hardfork, the calculators needs to be updated. Coinwarz is using the old calculator with 15 sec blocktime.
Even if you see a profit of $1.20 you usually end up with around $1. (20% less)

But the emission will be less and less. If the price doesn't continue to grow, mining will not be profitable. here is a proper calculator with "frontier style diff" (ethereum) 24mhash give $1 a day and in 6 months $0.20 a day (if the price of ethereum stays at the same level, and the number of miners is the same)

You only forgot to add, that miners who mine ETH now, will move to other coins, and every other profitable coin will also lower income

Yes they will move to monero and zcash, so you investment of 0.1BTC in the monero sp-mod is a good choice for the future.

Ethereum isn't going PoS until next year september. There is an entire year of good earnings from that coin (putting aside other Dagger coins) up until that point and it's a slow buildup (or wind down). It's nothing to worry about for awhile and they keep pushing it back. It was supposed to happen last year in the fall (2016) and didn't. I've covered this multiple times over the years.
Yes a Xevan miner would be good.
RIE needs a GPU miner as well.
Prime channel for NXS needs a GPU miner (there is a private one floating around somewhere and one person is eating all the blocks).
|
I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

Ethereum isn't going PoS until next year september.
But the reward will decrease rapidly. The hardfork is comming in september, and it contains code that will put the last nail in the coffin for the Ethereum miners.

So you are happy with the speed of the opensource miner for monero? If not you should support the developers that can improve the speed and the profit. I have made a faster miner, and it's available for just 0.1BTC.

I have made a faster miner, and it's available for just 0.1BTC. I'm happy with open source on AMD, as I told you it gives 900H/s per RX580. Supporting developer with reasonable devfee is much more fair, than pay 0.1 in advance, for uncertain income.

I get around 5 MHASH on the 1080ti.. ($8.5 a day) What do you get with the AMD miner? If I "sell" for 0.1btc xevan is going to be harvested. So I will sell for around 1 BTC instead to 2-3 buyers. Good or bad?
