Hi guys,
Can U help me. I haven't been using my wallet for quite long time and wanted to check if everything is ok and during downloading blockchain i've noticed that there has been a transfer today at 5pm my time (which i dodn't make). Does it mean that somebody ckacked my wallet? And if yes how it's possible without wallet.dat file?
money where transfered to: CQnJx2SyqXMg9NWbSvdp4zyAExs3UMn6aR and are still there.
Is there any solution for my situation?
Thanks
@ popioleqHmm... almost a quarter of a million CANN, I can see why you are concerned. First questions, did your wallet balance change? Did you previously move that amount and then immediately close your wallet before it had a chance to broadcast to the network? All we have at the moment is the fact 340 inputs have moved to a single output. Not much to go on. Is it a Windows wallet? Was it encrypted? Please tell us more so we have something to work with. If you don't want to make any more information public you are free to PM me.

I am sorry popioleq, it does appear that you have a wallet-stealing virus/trojan. If you have any other funds of any description you should move them to new wallets on a clean system NOW! To answer your question, no, there is no means of rolling back the transactions. All you can do is watch the transactions that take place with the coins in future and when they go to an exchange put your case to the exchange and see if they will block the sale of the coins and possibly lock the account. Keep all documentation and perhaps you may be able to recover the coins in future. It is, however, a very remote chance. Again, I am sorry.

Is your password not long and random? nothing is fullproof, but a secure password isn't easy hackable..

I don't think that's quite fair - the writer seems to be Polish, not a native English-speaker and somewhat inexperienced. Who hasn't worried over transactions taking forever to show on BitTrex? Nothing in his history says "scam" to me. Rather it looks like poor security, something all too common in Windows users, unfortunately. Is your password not long and random? nothing is fullproof, but a secure password isn't easy hackable..
Wouldn't help if it was a trojan with key logger. Perpetrator probably has plain text password as well as a copy of the wallet.dat file. From there there is no stopping them.

Hi popioleq, same thing happened to me a few months ago (not with cann but with a difference coin), but in my case I didn't have my wallet encrypted.
I'm really sorry btw. I remember the feeling of opening my wallet and seeing a 0 balance. One of the worst feelings of my life.
I'm curious....did you have your wallet encrypted with a password?

Nothing to worry about with your English popioleq, you previously offered to do a Polish language translation, that's all Oh and btw popioleq and all others willing to translate the CANN website and main descriptions in other languages, I would pay you if you do so. Same for the guys making nice videos about CANN, I gave 2k CANN for one video and I don't think i'm the only one who would do the same. Wouldn't it be nice if we had a CANN website in at least English/Spanish/French/German/Dutch... ? Also, sorry for your coins buddy, I would have cried so hard

Hate to say this, but seems to me at this point the safest way to store any coin is on Bittrex. Yes you are risking that they go out of business or get hacked, but they put a LOT of money into security and most of their coins are stored offline.
So popioleq, I say put your coins on Bittrex until you get a new computer and figure out how to prevent this in the future.
Once you have a 2FA Bittrex account, please come on here and post your cann address so that those of us with some empathy and compassion can donate and help you out.
I don't know how many people will donate, but I know I will. Hopefully others will too.
Your story rings true and guys, that could have been any of you. I sincerely hope I won't be the only one that donates.

It has been pretty stable for a week now, so the last thing we want is another pump. I think around is a nice level for the upcoming months. The project is still growing and it will take time to reach its fruition. The current low price gives people the option to still invest.

sorry to hear that popioleq you made me think about safety of my coins i am kind a noob on this, but do you think that having a separate computer would help, you build yourself a computer with plain windows or something, just wallets with a good pass and some anti virus thing, you use it only for transactions from wallets? it is a bit offtopic but it`s important
