I just noticed the cann faucet (sillypothead) was cleaned out the day before yesterday. I donated 11k to it and over the course of the next few days alot of people took advantage of it, in fact it had over 120 unique addresses in just a few days and it was down to around 9k balance. Then , the next day it is 0 balance  Did the faucet owner just clean it out for himself ?   If so , no more donations for the faucet unless you can prove otherwise.

I can completely understand some of the constant news requests but keep in mind, there are many factors at play when it comes to crypto acceptance and cannabis in the general public.  Cannabis is currently federally illegal and overrides any state laws in the United States.  If 'they' do not like a medical marijuana grower, doctor, dispensary, or patient they can shut you down.. simple as that.

The team and I are 100% legitimate and we maintain regulatory standards within our private operations as should any other medical marijuana industry professionals.  If you think we are moving too slow, then this industry is not for you.  If you are here to be a part of a community that is willing to take things to a new level with each step, then stay awhile and be a contributor to crypto and cannabis.

Wanna do even more?  You should contact your local representative and ask them to talk to congress and get moving to legalize medical marijuana 100% to help raise further awareness so CannabisCoin and other "cannabis" coins flourish!  Let the people and the children who need medication acquire it peacefully and respectfully without further turbulence from non supporters and prohibitionists.

Regarding "cannabis" related coins.

There are many coins that are claiming to be "cannabis" related etc etc.

Ask yourself some of these questions:

A) How long have some of these coins been around?

B) What have they accomplished during the timeframe?

C) Are actual patients, advocates, or industry professionals behind the coin?  If so, is there any evidence?

D) What have they done for the cannabis community in regards to the coin?  

E) Have any of them provided any medication to patients publically?

F) Have any of them ever been publically accepted by a legitimate business/medical/wellness center/dispensary or merchant?
 If not, then what legitimacy or future does a coin have without it?

G)  Do any of these coins have future plans other than to just create a 'coin' and hope for the best?

From the start of CannabisCoin, The team and I have mentioned that we wanted CannabisCoin to be something different.  Something REAL.  It is not about me, (D9) or the team.  It is about the patients and the community.  CannabisCoin is at its infant stages and has a good team and community behind it.  We have certainly made it thus far and still have a lot more to accomplish in the near future, but keep in mind we have DONE it and will continue to keep going!  WHY?, because WE CANN!

It is wonderful seeing community members willing to donate funds for promotion although I personally view this as being premature.

Rather, let me put forward a different tactic for discussion.

In particular I refer to:

As I said, I think it wonderful that community members are prepared to donate for CANN promotion but don't you think that your funds would be better used in the broader fight first? Actually legalizing marijuana will enhance the value of your CANN holdings even more surely than spotlighting what is still Federally illegal.

Please read the linked article and at least consider. Perhaps this might be a good starting point.

The faucet is broken, not recognizing valid CANN addresses and worse, it is eating donations.

esotericism has made bootstrap.dat available with blockchain data complete to January 23, 2015.

Anyone starting a new wallet or downloading the blockchain for any reason can speed the process significantly by downloading CannabisCoin bootstrap.dat.

How to use it

Before starting your CannabisCoin wallet download bootstrap.dat and copy/move it to your CannabisCoin directory, which you can either create or simply start, then stop your wallet:

Windows: \Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\CannabisCoin
Mac: ~/Library/Application\ Support/CannabisCoin
Linux ~/.CannabisCoin

Start your wallet. It should say "Loading blocks from disk" which it will do much faster than it will download them. Once it has exhausted the bootstrap supply it will continue downloading the chain data from the 23rd onwards from the net. On completion the wallet will rename the bootstrap file bootstrap.dat.old. You can leave it where it is and reuse it if you ever need to by simply renaming it bootstrap.dat again.
