Apologies for the Alerts: Everything Is OK!

I thought it would be safe to test the alert system tonight, but it looks as if a bug exists in this system. You will probably see many, many annoying popups. I terribly regret each popup you have to close. However each of those popups represents my trying to track down this bug. I believe I have fixed it (an explanation for the curious is below). The fix will be available in the release candidate (last closed source release) which I should have ready in a couple of days. In the meantime, I'm going to put up an alert that explains the alerts. I don't know what else to do. Again my apologies.

I realize that it has been a long time with this new wallet. But, in polishing up the revised Qt, I felt like I would do something that I wish other developers did: fix things before they add new things that don't work 100%. I'm tracking every bug great and small that I can find in this wallet, and fixing each of them. Each bug I find can take from a few minutes to about a week to fix, so it has required some time. Fixing bugs is vastly more time consuming than one might expect. Hopefully the user experience will be much more satisfying than if I added simply many bells and whistles that were not fully debugged.

-- Hondo

Alert bug description for the curios

An alert can cancel any other alert but not itself or else it can't be broadcast. If it can't be broadcast, it can't cancel other alerts. This is a classic chicken-egg problem. I fixed it so the last alert remains active so that it can cancel other alerts, but the gui is not notified if an alert effectively "cancels" itself. I'm surprised this has not been fixed in the StealthCoin lineage, but I believe that is because few coin developers actually use the alert system.

that is nice update by Hondo, so take your time and make XST the best coin of the world.
good luck for your great job, keep it up.

what update? you guys still give pad to each other back? i have already lose faith with this hondo guy.

I know easy way how to fix your faith.Sell all coins what you own and please dont comment with new account here anymore.

i have 10btc to dumps but xst only have 3.5btc for all, i already considered this a dumb moved lose already.
The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

the wallet is in beta-testing.  it will not be an ordinary wallet, not even close.  hondo has been spending alot of time rooting out any possible bugs so that he can deliver the highest quality from it's beginning.  if you scroll up there are some older pics of it, although i'm sure it's had many changes/improvements since then.  i'm not actually part of the beta-testing, so i don't have any more details.

StealthCoin Wallet 2.0 Release Candidate: Version 2.0.0.9

Version 2.0.0.9 is a "release candidate". Because of changes to the alert system, it represents a small change to the protocol, so the new protocol number is 62009. Older versions will receive an alert to update. I have rooted out all bugs I could find. I am making this version a "release candidate" at the behest of the community, who wishes it to remain closed source for a duration. If no significant bugs are found within 1 week, I will release the source code to github.

This release represents the work of several developers, both for design and programming. Special thanks goes to the beta testers, most of whom have been long-term members of the communty.

the new wallet, version 2.0.0.9, how do you stake? ver 1.3 had a button to unlock the wallet and i could hit for staking only, where is the unlock wallet for 2.0.0.9? do I need to do something before or after importing wallet.dat to 2.0.0.9? It shows I have my coins in the new wallet, i even tried changing my passphrase, but no luck. Ill try d/l it all again and reinstalling i guess.  thanks.
