be careful of those scamming ICOs nowadays and I also agree that it really kills bitcoin reputation. People around the world will become hesitant if this type of situations will always happen to cryptocurrency economy. I don't think this will bring good impact to digital currency bitcoin if ever incoming ico will still scam people

I am thinking that ICO's are of great benefit to bitcoin because almost all the ICO's accept Bitcoin so the demand for will increase in order to use and purchase the token.

In my opinion, a small dump from Ico won't kill Bitcoin, maybe the price will go down for a while but people will buy more coins. Bitcoin is the king of all digital currencies in the world, several other factors kill Bitcoin, as bad news about Bitcoin is the main factor that kills Bitcoin.

In reat time all projects consist on only EHT tokens that doesn't support Bitcoin. So if you want to get bitcoin from myself project you must do some exchanges. But for real time I don't think that ICO are killeng bitcoin.

I never understood why cryptotraders and exchanges support ICO's, my reasoning is this: An ICO gets funded, then they do what, they SELL the BTC they raised for fiat and push the price dive on BTC, thus taking all those BTC out of the trade environment, anyone thinking that an ICO would reinvest into the exchange is naive. This hurts everyone, even the exchanges. You might say "Well the exchanges get fee's on ico" well that is true, but they are losing all future potential fee's on those coins, if they had continued trade on the market.
So in Short - ICO's are killing Bitcoin and CryptoMarkets.
You misunderstand the ISO, strong projects receive $ directly from funds and broadcast from large investors. And even public sale is most often on air. And the developers sell the broadcast and not bitcoin, so their coins do not have anything on the market.

I think Crypto ICo is not killing Bitcoin since Bitcoin is the pioneer of cryptocurrencies. Let's see where this matter will go but I think ICO won't kill Bitcoin now and in the future. cmiiw
It does not make sense that ico will kill bitcoin. How can they kill bitcoin? Bitcoin is still the strongest cryptocurrency and nothing can kill it include ico. Ico mostly now fail because so many ico were launched in the same time and it makes people confuse to choose the best ico and ending with fail project.

I think the exchange are non selective as to what crypto currency for as long as they are gaining profit. So maybe they are not really their intention to kill bitcoin.

It is, in terms of new investors who got victimized by scammers then the trust to this network are really affected, those ico's project which should bring new traders and investors are blaming now bitcoin / crypto industry as they got scammed and not gaining anything, maybe lessen the ico's and those duplicate projects will help making this chain being healthy or will attract new people that will take the risk again.

for now some exchanger not that easy to list new tokens. so don't worry if they will list a scam token in their site. it will affect on their reputation. and now some decentralized market which is still list token-token on their site. it can't be blamed because it is decentralized market like p2p market, they only facilitation

even some best coin nowadays going through an ICO process. your statement about alts to convert BTC then FIAT to pushing down the price of BTC is right and make sense. but in the same time BTC gain more popularity and gain volume to help they grow. so i would say ICO is not killing BTC but its doing some mutual relationship with effect. and any other ICO is goin on eliminating process. coin with true purpose and benefit will arise and coin who doesn't will collapse.

Indirectly I can say that no , and also yes . At one side making of new new coins are causing the reason for the people to buy new coins with the help of the coins , so indirectly demand of btc increases because they need btc to buy altcoins . And also people supporting much , because few people made much earnings from the ICOs , so they are trying Thier luck more and more with small small amounts Investment . But opposite of this ICOs are stealing the trust with bitcoin that what the people have , because most of the ICOs are doing scam , they taking Investment but not launching the coin , and that is giving a big impact over the mentilty of the people regarding cryptourrency as a scam only . So clearly at one side they are giving small opportunity to make money , but at another side they are destroying the big amount of trust that people have with cryptourrency market . But here we should take hope that soon , new things will enter in the market that will control ICOs project .

nothing like this, for example, in 2017 there were much more ICO projects, and they did not differ in quality from the current ones, but this did not lead to a drop in bitcoin.

ICO's aren't killing Bitcoin. They've improved BTC and proved to the world that there's no reason to wait for something better.

Of course not the ICO’s cannot kill bitcoin because they are not yet established they will go through a tough process before they could reach the success of bitcoin.
