According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I have near from 500 000 UFO and i have a real question....What is the real goal of this coin ? It's only a crypto-currencie right ? So only to pay ? It's based  on the Btc Blockchain right ?

What will be the futures updates and aren't you afraid the coin die in the futur ?

Hello daimyo,

Is there any way of getting a small guide on how to do this?

I have NSG Miner and a rig with RX570s but no idea how to set this up..

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I'm using Gateless miner with RX 570. 640 Khs per card. Try something like this:

"gatelessgate.exe -k neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://eu1.altminer.net:10006 -u BztivxcQC***** -p c=UFO -w 256 -g 1 -I 14"

Use MSI Afterburner to reduce core voltage and increase power limit to get full speed.

Anyone else mining on Mining-Dutch having problems?  I can't seem to go a few hours before the pool stops recognizing my miners.  They just display line after line of my hashrate.  I haven't ruled out my software, just curious...

I've had similar problems with them.
I find that
http://www.mining-france.com/pools/ufo/ufo/index.php and
https://altminer.net/
work best for me.

UFO Core 0.11 is out : https://github.com/UFOCoins/ufo/releases/tag/v0.11.0.0

It is a mandatory upgrade. You must be upgraded by block 1,220,000 (roughly 25 days away).

Initial release of UFO using the Bitcoin 0.11 codebase.

IMPORTANT - Hard Fork on block 1,220,000: Improvement to the eHRC difficulty.

Version 4 blocks are created with this release which after 75% of the last 1,000 blocks are version 4 then BIP65 OP_CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY and BIP66 Strict DER Encoding becomes active. BIP65 is the more exciting of the two and will allow us to join decentralized exchanges using onchain atomic swap.

Other changes:
Block file pruning
Big endian support
Memory usage optimization
Disable wallet transaction broadcast
Stream isolation for Tor

Very cool to see a coin from 2014 still getting a lot of love from the original devs! I think I may hop in and start mining before the hard fork

Of course not. Just means you need to download the new wallet, and the blockchain will have some new tech goodies built-in after block #1220000. S'all good.

...it's just that a client with a build number earlier than 0.11.0 will cease to sync the blockchain beyond that checkpoint. your ufo's are safe  Cool

btw: block reward halving just kicked in... it's now 625/blk
