For some bitcoin might not last in the future but I think they would. There is a huge possibility that bitcoin will last for sometime, I can't say forever because we don't know until when.

I am not sure of that. I found bitcoin could last until the end of time. there will be a development of the bitcoin, may be born as bitcoin unlimited and may later have relied bitcoin full price benchmark to satoshi. |

I am not sure of that. I found bitcoin could last until the end of time. there will be a development of the bitcoin, may be born as bitcoin unlimited and may later have relied bitcoin full price benchmark to satoshi. I would very much appreciate it if it stayed as bitcoin as its name. If it made a name and be popular no need to make another or add up something just for what? To make people think there is a new thing that is happening or it is revised? That will only make some negative feedback with other people specially those who got used on just "bitcoin". We just have to wait when every bit of bitcoin is mined to know what else could happen. |

One thing that i know for sure is that bitcoin will be here till the end ,people are predicting that the price would soar to some astronomical figures in the future but i am not sure about the valuation but one thing for sure is that bitcoin will exist even if the price would go back to null. |

The question you brought up about whether governments are considering buying up bitcoins is an interesting one.
It looks like the classic Prisoner's Dilemma problem. All governments would be better off if bitcoin died out, but the first government to initiate a bitcoin-reserve buying program would be in a much better position than other governments if bitcoin does become ubiquitous.
I think in the world of American hegemony we lived in between 1990-2000 there would be no bitcoin buying, but in an increasingly bipolar world of East vs. West that is developing today along with a few fragmented rogue states such as North Korea and Iran, someone will defect and start buying bitcoin which will trigger a cascade of strategic buying.
Disagree about the creation of i-coin though. No nation has enough power to unseat a truly global currency like bitcoin once it becomes ubiquitous, unless they conquer a super-majority of the world.
Future of bitcoins depends on the masses that are using it. The value of it depends on the total amount of the investors investment s.people needs to spend it in order for it to circulates. |

Well bitcoin will keep getting more and more value over the years, the split that might and looks like will really happen will be just a step to let it grow easy, im sure that the future of bitcoin is amazing to all traders as well investors of bitcoin, but well need to have strong hands to secure and risk in the future.

The future of bitcoin is very bright! Many people believe that it will be the future universal currency. As of now, bitcoin is becoming popular in the whole world even though there are some countries that do not accept bitcoin. There are also speculations that before this year ends, the value of bitcoin will increase up to $2000
Well, we all know that bitcoin is becoming popular every each time passes. And soon people will discover about bitcoin and it will become the new currency in the incoming future. If those country that are not accept bitcoin know the advantages of it, I'm sure they will legalize the bitcoin in their country. Many people already know about bitcoins and they use it all the time, so it's not the new currency anymore. But in the future it has great chances to further development and ti become stronger and more adopted and that also depends on the users. If it uses its chances right it will have bright future. Yes,Bitcoin is getting popular gradually.Now,Liberland has made bitcoin as its national currency.Nigerian people have started to adopt bitcoins due to failure of their national currency.Japan has started accepting bitcoin as payment.Day by day,good news arriving for bitcoin from all over the world. That's amazing news. I wish all countries legalize this bitcoin as official currency. And I guess it just takes some time, probably a few years later, to process the Bitcoin as valid means of payment like in Japan. |

It all depends upon the speculation and if you look at the current price of bitcoin you really cannot understand what the situation is because the reason behind the price fall ,which is scaling debate is not yet over and despite that the price recovered really well and you could make some money if you could wisely trade in this volatile market. |

yes there is no doubt about this that the future of bitcoin is very bright, actually bitcoin is becoming more and more popular because new people are entering in the world of bitcoin, therefore i think the future of bitcoin is really very bright. You are right, bitcoin future is very bright. As we know, day by day there is a lot of people who join bitcoin community. For now we have a high number of people who joined this community, and the number increase everyday. So as a result of this, The using of bitcoin will increase, so Automatically the price will increase and bitcoin will be more powerfull. |

The future of bitcoin looks promising to me as it is growing like anything at a moment and when its adoption will go higher it will take its price even higher as bitcoin is still new but many new investors are showing their interest in bitcoins and the users will keep on increasing even in future.

The outcome of bitcoin predicted by OP is ridiculous. The gov will definitely any time crack down any illegal trading without the exception of bitcoin.
I think it is impossible to begin with because bitcoin was made to be decentralized, and the Government could not touch this. |
