• Peercoin, the first working PoS implementation (which is prospering),
• Primecoin, introducing a PoW that not only produces useless SHA (or whatever hashes) but also
• paved the ground for the Peershares template, which enabled the creation of NuShares and hence brought us NuBits!

Does the noble prize influence people to work harder? I believe the people who receive such an award are truly influenced by achievement and dedication to be honest, not in the hopes of being recognized, at least most of the time anyways. This was not brought to life to influence but rather to recognize and bring something good to the community in times where we are being surrounded with more and more not so influential news.
