Announcement
In the event of a User Activated Hard Fork (UAHF) on 1 August or thereafter, it is important to clarify that BetBTC would not be in a position to support Bitcoin Cash (BCC), the coin associated with the Bitcoin Cash proposal.
BetBTC is not in a position to support BCC, nor will BetBTC be liable for any BCC received, therefore, we will leave it to our customers decide whether to withdraw their BTC funds from BetBTC prior to this cutoff date if they would like to access BCC or any other hard fork.
As always, the safety of our customers’ funds remains our number one priority. To this end, as a security precaution, we will be disabling bitcoin withdrawals on 31 July 2017 at 20:00h GMT to ensure that all BTC funds stored at BetBTC remain secure. Betting will be possible and remain unaffected throughout. Withdrawals will be resumed only when we deem it safe and prudent to do so.
This statement does not clarify what you intend to do with the BCC you will receive on behalf of the users. I hope you are not going to seize it, there is a word for that.
We use a number of providers, which assume their positions. Therefore, we do not want to be liable for BCC that neither could we be in control or we might not know how to handle it. As stated,
"BetBTC is not in a position to support BCC, nor will BetBTC be liable for any BCC received (...)", hence, and as recommend above,
"we will leave it to our customers decide whether to withdraw their BTC funds from BetBTC prior to this cutoff date if they would like to access BCC or any other hard fork.".
If it is your position, and you wish to withdraw, please do so. If there is anything else that you need to do regarding your personal account, feel free to open a support ticket and we will answer it.
Regards,
BetBTC
