Fact is the market can be primed to meet the agenda of any organization/individual with a large store of USD/BTC.

This opens the possibility to play on the fears of investors/speculators, lowering the price/value of btc, and then buying in at a discounted rate.

Value of BTC down? Reward of BTC for work done down? Followed by Network Speed Down?

This is probably the only time in recent Bitcoin project history that can be truly said.

A prudent miner will be buying up half of what they would have made if their was no reward drop. This will permit them in their transition to ASIC and other projects with existing hardware.

A few hours from now, we will have passed the capitulation point. This will influence views similar to what the poster has observed in the polar opposite direction.

1/4 of it was manual arbitrage, and all I have to show is my mtgox trading history. I just followed wall movements and trends as I saw them coming, and traded multiple times when the bid and ask price were greater than 1.0-2.0% apart. (0.4-1.4% profit after fees) I try to keep half btc, half USD, and bids and asks 1.5% apart.

On another note, I think it's just fair that you guys know:
I am almost finished buying back in now. Price will crash any minute, watch out!
Ente

..took a day longer than expected, huh?

Ente

LOL

My sympathies. I sold with a little loss. Because I was so greedy with my orders at 12.90 XD.

Congratulations! You've fallen into the trap!

Whoever pushed the price down toward 12 is after tricking ask orders higher than 12.5 to fall into 12$, to clean the path to 15$

Was pleased to sell some at 12.45. Still happy it is above 12 for the reward halving.
Nice job bulls!

I hope diff starts to drop before asics arrive so I can eke out a bit more cash from this economy. :-)

That would be nice, but I'm doubting we will fall that much.
