I think if we could stay in the $35-$40 range for a month or so, people may forget about that 2011 bubble thing, it means nothing to the newcomers, it's just some of the early adopters' oh-so-precious memory.

This might be panic buying in order to close MtGox accounts.

If MtGox moves all accounts to the US (CoinLab), there will suddenly be a lot of people under IRS scrutiny. Much better to hold bitcoins and close the account...

I do wonder how much this will impact the market and how exactly.

Morning folks Smiley

I just woke up to this:

It would appear after the big breakthrough to the all time high the crowd mind has very little idea of what a Bitcoin is worth  Cheesy  That's fine by me.  I would prefer that than either bears or bulls having no opposition.

If this is because of panic buying, the liquidity in the market will go down temporarily (and volatility upwards) as people move into bitcoin and not have a stash to buy on lows. Then with the fear of the IRS, the supply of bitcoins on the market could very well remain low for a while. That could drive prices up, which feeds back on the issue again. We could very well end up with $50/bitcoin but very few folks in the US willing to sell them on exchanges.

Are we going to find some stability around 32.40? I sure hope so. It'd make me a happy pizza roll.

bitcoin is very much and always has been undervalued, we all know it has the potential to go to 1000$ a coin due to moderate success, but prices have been kept low all this time because the perceived risk was crazy high and early adopters were cashing out a few million dollars, this perceived risk appears to be less and less of a concern these days... and investors (I'm taking real investors, not a bunch of little users buying 1000$ worth...) are now willing to come aboard...

we could very well see 1000$ bitcoins b4 the end of the year.
