This suggests to me that the piles of stashed BTC are now coming out of hiding, and the price point they are comfortable with seems to be around 31 USD/BTC.

Proof of said statement? this to me is FUD,

This is just a (speculative) observation of a person who happens to know a thing or two about financial markets, posted in "Economics/Speculation" section. If this remark insults your religious beliefs in any way, I humbly apologize.

Go fucking figure bro, this is why i asked you when you sold and how many bitcoins you have, You replied to me that you are a buyer and that you hold as many bitcoin as you think is worth the risk,

reason I asked this is because you have a bear tag on in a bull market, you have ulterior motive behind the fud you spread hence why i said it was FUD,

Apologies are worth absolutely nothing so you can keep that

MtGox should get some serious hardware... one dump and everything freezes... still can not see Live graph...

it's because Magicaltux manually audits every trade since the hack. Knowing that the speed is quite impressive.

intimidating red candle is now tiny baby cute red candle Smiley

That's called a doji. It may be cute, but sinister.

You know what - you're right.

I think that sell actually was some TA obsessed douchebag that thinks he can create a reversal by making a doji on a Thursday.

Thankfully the market has 0 fucks to give about TA.

TA is pretty awful.  100% tea leaf reading post hoc reasoning.

just want to add this

when the Bid side is usually weak there isnt a sell off (no money to get maximum value), when the bid side is Super filled that is usually when I notice some big action moving

when the Ask side is usually strong there is usually big buys since there are alot of bitcoins sitting waiting to be scooped up,

this is just a observation from watching the price practically 24/7 with my other assets

I've observed the same thing. If this has some merit, it means that another big dump right after one is unlikely (because bids are very thin in the cleared area). The only options are up or slow grind down or sideways.

This further means that most likely the next dump will happen only after we've moved substantially higher (this fills in lots of bids) or we've gone sideways for a comparably long period (this also fills in bids, but much slower).

All in all I think these dumps and the breathtakingly quick recoveries from them are very healthy for quite a few reasons. One of the important ones is that it instills confidence. Another one is that money changes hands from people who are likely well in the profit zone (bought substantially lower) to hands who are just getting into the game. This decreases the overall willingness to sell until the price moves up again. It also distributes "old money" to newcomers... a good thing. Of course this is fundamentally driven by newbs flooding in.

The pattern of price movement changed. The sellers are waiting for a decent amount of bids to build above a certain price point, and then dump down to this price point.

This suggests to me that the piles of stashed BTC are now coming out of hiding, and the price point they are comfortable with seems to be around 31 USD/BTC. The next week or so may indeed be interesting, and not in a way it was "interesting" for the last 6 weeks.

Well, a little bit of diversity may even be refreshing... Wink

Proof of said statement? this to me is FUD,

If this puts fear in you you should think about the "why". It doesn't put fear in me at all. Old coins being distributed into new hands is incredibly good for bitcoin. A currency with 70% of it held (or not) by very few people is problematic from a marketing perspective.

the 20 day average of bitcoin days destroyed hasn't broken the '11 high yet, but it hasn't been this high since then.

+agree with post above not only good assumptions but all sound realistic,

Bitcoin is still so so new, im still excited and waiting for the future when coinlab gets setup and more bitcoin ATMs are created, just so many things that are setting the base for what could be an amazing future,

something simple that you can test yourself https://community.bitfinex.com/showthread.php/98-Myself-Scalping-Strategy is no the best thing out there but is free Tongue

What is more fun is when he will come here complain in a few days : "MtGox doesn't want to wire me my money !"

I ain't seeing the irony in that.

I ain't seeing the irony in that.

MtGox imposes a $1,000 USD limit for withdrawals per 24 hours and a $10,000 USD limit for withdrawals per month with most non-verified accounts.

I just hope he is "verified".
And very well known since if not he will have some difficulties getting his money back...

why? why are you saying this BS?

It looks like before every major dump, the number of users on the clarkmoody page increases. It look like somebody is crying "Public stoning, everybody come to the city, good entertainment, bring stones".

Man I love this topic. I've been silently following it from around page 20.  Roll Eyes
Now, almost at page 600!

I wonder if we get hunted in the future for being an early adopter when BTC was around $30. Or perhaps made fun of for believing in such a "clear scam". xD
