WTF?? $38 to $39 in one minute? Shocked

have you NOT been seeing the wall pics? more like field pics. small rolling hills they are. not walls

this made me LOL.

I really want this thing to cool down for a bit, but I'm reluctant to help by selling more than the 20 BTC I've sold at $27.80.

I'm just going to watch.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

You know what really pisses me off: that mtGox can't just get his shit fixed! Don't they have enough money by now to hire someone who can code this shit so it actually works like most of interesting times?

Well, bears, you should know this: in the previous time Bitcoin was a closed economy. There was a handful of products and services merchants, but all that comes from inside of Bitcoin comunity. The price was slowly going up, we were happy to play with it in our sandboxes. There were crashes all around the time.

Now the situation is rapidly changing - there is a constant torent of konwn and proven merchants and service providers that are hopping on bitcoin train. We opened the gates for public. The nice part is, that these well known entities are making PR for Bitcoin for free. It is the same scenario every time: there pops anouncement from bigger company that they started accepting BTC. And in that anouncement is usualy a paragraph with words like: "You don't know what Bitcoin is? It is p2p... Go to these sites to learn more." So a handful of people (even big investors) previusly unaware of Bitcoin  say WTF? P2P, crypto and curerncy? I am all in" and mtgoxlive is down for half a day Tongue

I am sure there are (or here are?:}) speculators and manipulators but they are now in the minority, they are drowning in the tsunamy coming from fiat world. But sure they could have the last word on this. But seriously - BTC < 20USD? No way.

My favourite quote for this situation: "The box... you opened it, we came.Grin

Gods sent us a powerful tool - cryptography - to fight with those who are trying to exploit us. USE IT!!

Yeah, time for a new "transparency" report from Mt.Gox. They're armed with only two 64cores Wink. Enough for a Sunday, but when the price hits the fan, you feel the shit. I want optical cables and 4096cores, NOW! XD

Yeah two 64cores... running a matching engine probably written in Ruby using an O(n^3) matching algorithm, delivering trade executions sequentially to all listening websocket clients directly inside the inner loop of the matching engine. WE NEED MORE HARDWARE!!!
