The details in this crowdsale are very thin - say comparing to Ethereum.

A key question would be - what timeframe do you envisage the REP being distributed - 2 months? This year? Next Year or longer?

Is the use Augur and distribution of REP tied to stages of Ethereum?

Thanks

I also agree: the crowdsale process seems a little "poor" and informal...

I really don't understand why they started a crowdsale when Frontier (beta CLI ethereum app) is in its inicial (buggy) stages.

Why didn't they wait for metropolis Mist (GUI)?

Why didn't they (at least) come up with a tool like that of Kraken ( http://kraken.com/ether ) to easy use pre-sale ether coins?

It has come to my attention that this project is a 1COP2COS a.k.a. The Bubble Scam

"there is NO 2 factor authentication"

Not true --- right hand side you can use Clef to login (which is 2fa).  Don't want to use clef, setup 2fa with facebook or google and use them.

So the only point there'd be contact to one is to download the UI (which is then run in your browser after that).  You can check the hash to make sure it's not modified, or you could even use something like IPFS, eliminating all contact to centralized servers.

Clef don't work on my cell phone after many tries, why don't you add Google 2 factor authentication to cover the safety of username/password login part, it's cask theory or short plate theory.
One more thing, how many bitcoin did you guys receive in pre-IPO phase, is there any place we can check this ?

Congrat for your IPO, that's really successfull.

However I am wondering how will you handle to sell your coin (70% of value after IPO).

For bitcoin let say you will have 14.000 bitcoin it's quite ok as it represents around 0.1% of total bitcoin amount so the price should not be too much affected.

Now let's say you will get 1.4 million Eth that is around 2% of total supply of ETH so 20X more than with bitcoin, here you will have a huge impact on the ETH price.

Scenario 1: You will dump your ETH after IPO which will crash the price of ETH, so you will get a part of the value after IPO (as it will not be possible to selll all at same price)  but it would be quite fair for investors, however if everybody's know what will happens the price will crash before IPO due to FUD...

Scenario 2: You decide to sell your ether during few months which will put a constant sell pressure, so that will make the price of ether dropping week after week + the FUD associated, thus you will get only a small part of the money you should got but the shares from ETH buyers of REP and bitcoin buyers of REP will not change, so it is not fair for bitcoin investors (shares diluted and ETH sell provide you few money).

Scenario 3: An alternative scenario, like an auction for the ether with some discount but the ETH are blocked for 1 year for exemple like this only long term investors would be interested.

I don't know what is your intention but I remind you that your decision will have huge consequences on ether price.

If you could inform us about what is your plan that would be nice.

Regards,

Julien

I have found Augur very interesting. I will see how it stands in time and if it becomes a reliable platform, I will consider using it. By all means, I will keep my eyes on how it goes! Thanks for information!

REP is not really a coin. But I guess it's gonna be listed in coinmarkecap in the future as some kind of "asset".

I don't  even know if it's gonna work in a (centralized) exchange.

Reason: if you don't use it (report bets) you lose it (to other active users who do).

But sure it could possibly be traded in a decentralized exchange on top of ethereum in the future.

OUCH! Augur already exists and it's called groupgnosis.com. Now we learn you lose the stuff you bought if you don't use it! OMG. Augur could go down as the dumbest thing ever to have purchased.
