Anyone got it working with a wifi dongle? I'm looking to free up some wires.
i'm sure that i read earlier in the SP-Tech thread that Zvi was working on the firmware to allow this. As they are on holiday now, it may be a few days before you hear back about it. try asking on the main thread...

Ok, a couple of questions to experts: 1. In settings you control units, but in asic stats there are loops (not units). Is it correct to assume that unit 1=Loop 0 2. what would be maximum difference between voltage between units? I assume that you want to optimize temperature, so slight variation is possible. 3. Zvisha said to set the maximum voltage difference between starting voltage and maximum voltage at 5 millivolts (0.005), so I assume that it would be a difference between a lowest voltage unit and max, but if units are at slightly different voltage, the diffrence of highest voltage unit and maximum has got to be less or more than 0.05. Comments?

1. Yes. 2. Personally, I have it really wide apart (check my review - don't remember the exact numbers). I remember reading that the max is roughly 10mV between them though, although I can't verify that. 3. Not really following that, sorry.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll go out shopping tomorrow for one of those dongles listed, and hopefully I'll be able to get it working. The ethernet cable is really taking up a ton of space as it effectively cordons out a part of the room.

If you are using different voltage for units 1-4, then difference between at least some of them and maximum will deviate from 0.005

Q For renters: I tried to point my miner to nicehash, pool was "enabled" and "live" but nothing resulted, just rejected work. I guess I don't know how to work it or maybe you need to wait more than few minutes to rent it out. I waited 20min with zero results, switched back to regular pools. In any case, payouts already declined 40% comparing to 12 hours ago.

The 40% decline / rejected work may be because paycoin.minerpools.com was down today due to DDos attacks. Maybe renters were waiting for the pool to become available again to rent gear. I'm not sure, but that may have something to do with it.

I have been using same values for two of my boards, which is different (by a factor of more than 0.005) from my other boards. I guess that works anyhow. Thanks for the heads up! I'll go out shopping tomorrow for one of those dongles listed, and hopefully I'll be able to get it working. Looking forward for test result Other choice is to use small router like TPLINK TL-MR3020 I'll just see what the local Staples/Best Buy has in store tomorrow and look up if it's on the list on my phone. I want something which is tiny and cheap.

Awsome. Just got my miner up and running slightly underclocked and it's workking like a charm. Will do a 24 hour burn in before trying out the extronance bug quash from nicehash. Here are my specs:
1600 GH/s
Temp Front / Back T,B 25 °C / 79,72 °C Fan Speed 50 Start Voltage 0.689 / 0.689 / 0.689 / 0.689 Max Voltage 0.75 Max Watts 260 / 260 / 260 / 260
Even with the fan speed so low(I have the door open to winter air) it still stays a nice cool 25C. Getting great payouts on nicehash due to the paycoin pyramid scheme.

The actual temps are viewable inside Asic Stat page. That's just the box temps. (mine's at around 15/60 right now, but one of the chips is 120)

I pointed my SP20 to nicehash for 20min to try it out; it resulted in nothing-no work accepted. How does the darn thing (nicehash) work? Is your miner being picked up automatically after you put their pool as your 0 priority and how long does it typically take to start "working"?

Try it now, I'm mining there since yesterday too.
