Okay over night I closed the back garage door for safety's sake.
The 15 speed fan got too warm. Not unexpected since I am running 6 units in a 22 by 22 by 7.5 foot space. Burning 4000kwatts is more then 13000 btu. My garage is very well insulated.
So the 15 speed unit auto downclocked all freqs turned blue. rate dropped to 640gh but power dropped at least 300 watts so I actually got about .47 per gh
I should have screen shot it. I rebooted with a higher fan setting. That unit was running paired with a second unit on my evga 1600p2.
as the pair they were pulling 1281 watts and doing 2400gh after the down clock they went to 980 watts and 1850gh.
With this 2 sp20 per 1 psu I was not exactly sure how low the power was for the one the downclocked itself to the 630 gh.
I am going to try to do this on the sp20 that runs on one evga. It may be something for the future in april when the weather warms up.

this is what I have all of my 6 on they pull about 505 watts do about 1005 to 1065 gh fan was ssh to 15 To follow up this miner is pulling 448 watts and doing 1026gh which is an astounding .43 per gh number How did I get the drop. My moron neighbors stopped burning their fireplaces for the holiday and went to sleep. Thus I opened my rear garage door and finally got some cold air on the gear. watts dropped from 505 to 448!! I purchased sp20's looking for .6 or .65 watt per gh. I never thought .5 could be done and now I am at .43 watts in a colder room with fan at 12 and heavy duty underclock

I upgraded my firmware to 2.5.54 using my android phone over the network. The miner probably connects directly to SP's website.

Good I will most likely do the switch on Weds. Now I am running these two on a evga 1600p2 about 1985gh total all good temps with fan at 15 power is 956 watts so 956/1985 = .48 watts at a meter

Also this is my 'high' meter the other one reads 938

If you want a more granularity -- change the following file around line 329
#vi /var/www/SP2x/settings.php
<select name="FAN" id="fan_speed_select"> <?php for($i = 10; $i < 101; $i += 05){ printf('<option value="%d" %s>%d</option>' } ?> </select>

Just remember .. the PHP changes are not persistent after reboot / powering off. If you reboot, have the files with the changes handy, to push them again in the /var/www space.

Really succinctly, can somebody just spell out how Volts affect performance vs. Watts. I know W= electrical power and V=electrical potential, but how do they related to ASIC performance? Does raising one without raising the other do anything for example?

I put .57 on a new machine after running it for about 10 minutes. When I turned on extranonce.subscribe, my hashing dropped from ~1320 to 1289. Turned it off, and right back to ~1320. Not significant, but... It has some extra settings too - a min watt restart, and a FPGA serial speed. I haven't played with those.
