Anybody know where to download SP20 firmware?  It shows in the gui that you can update from file.  After going down to 2.5.12 and now my machine thinks its a Dawson, I would like to reload the correct firmware.  You don't get those options after installing the 2.5.12.

I found the tech blog and how to create a recovery sd.  Except after doing it, noticed it was a micro SD slot.  Had to head home, so was hoping I could just load a correct firmware version from file since I can do that remotely.  Haven't been able to locate their firmware files on their website or github yet.

Thanks.

I am a bit buzzed (new years eve cheer) , but I live in NJ, USA.

If you live in the USA I could make a sd card for you and mail it on the 2nd of Jan.

Thank you for the generous offer.  I can take one from home to the office tomorow.  I just didn't realize it was a micro card from reading the instructions.  So when I made it on an SD card, I was pretty much done for the night at work.  Thought maybe if I could upload from file the correct firmware it might fix it.

Was finally able to find this:
You can click on "Firmware Upgrade" then "Manual Selection" to access several firmware versions which Zvi currently thinks are decent. You can download all of the old firmware at http://storage.googleapis.com/spond_firmware/spon_2.X.YY.tar, where X and YY are the version numbers of the firmware you want to use.

But it wouldn't seem to load onto the SP since it now thinks it's an SP10. I tried both 2.5.31 and 2.5.12.   Was going to try and avoid the office for a few days, but doubt I'll be able to hold out now. Sad

Did anybody noticed slightly lower hash on 2.5.64 vs 2.5.58 or 2.5.61?
I've got 8-10 Gh lower. Miner is stable and power use is the same (same settings)

whats with your last loop being so much higher power usage than the 140W setpoint? Its not supposed to do that

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

Just wanted to post that after reversing the fan direction to Push, I am getting slightly lower temps and  lower noise as well. (Fan speed at 10)

After reversing the fan direction, I also applied tape over the top row holes, since these top-row holes are simply passing through the outside cold air (can be verified with an IR-thermo)

Reversing the fan, allows easy access to the power-sockets, RJ45, and the status LED.

that's more like left side...
check out temps on the 6pin from time to time, they may get hot from the reversal of airflow

lolzz ya Smiley, I have oriented the SP20, so that the heatsinks are upright. By 6pin, so you mean the PCIE power connectors?

yes! u reversed the flow of air so the connectors are not any more cooled by air at room temp,  they are cooled by already heated air from the asics

Thanks.

If you make recovery SD you MUST remove it before you reboot. Else it will reformat it over and over again.

When I ran the recovery everything seemed to work fine, the lights blinking back and forth. But when I removed the SD card and power cycled it would not boot up. The SD boot image worked fine. I'm thinking I will keep the boot SD card in as the miner works fine.
I do wish you could identify software better.    But it was my bad.

Does anyone know why the sp20 restarts cgminer every couple of days?  I loose my dynamically added pool information when this happens..also my stats. (best share, number of shares, etc)

Mine does because of the "Restart miner if rate falls below" option.  I was noticing at first that the SP20 would fall to about 1/2 it's hashrate after a day or so.  I set that to restart it if it falls below 850GH/s and now it restarts on it's own every day or two.  I actually think it's a great feature, but you may want to try turning that off and seeing if it is the cause.  If it were me, I'd look into making your pool information static, as that seems like a better fix than having to manually restart your SP20 if the hashrate drops.
