Hi Justin,
It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Adam Howell (Aka, Dopey) and I am the founder of DopeCoin. Thank you kindly for the interview request, it is my pleasure to answer some questions for you.
What is most surprising, ironic, novel or controversial about your project/industry?
What I find most ironic is how marijuana legality is treated so vastly differently across the world. There are certain countries where you are legally allowed to smoke and possess at will and are given the most wonderful selection of cannabis, concentrates and edibles that could ever be imagined. Other countries (or even states in the case of U.S.A.) will throw you in prison for smoking a joint.
One day we will look back at these times in the history books with confusion the same we do now at alcohol prohibition.
What makes your technology most unique?
Our technology allows people from all over the world the ability to pay for marijuana and marijuana related products with a digital currency. This currency is not owned by any central bank and does not charge for transaction fees, unlike every other payment processing system on the face of the planet.
Why are you targeting the marijuana industry?
As a Canadian, I have been blessed with the opportunity to smoke some of the best marijuana on the face of the planet for basically my entire life. As a result, marijuana has always been a big part of my life and is something that I am really passionate about. I remember as a kid I would not only have a stash of porn magazines hidden under my bed but also a couple of issues of High-Times as well, which I would sneak a peak at when no one was looking.
Fast-forward to today and I am blessed with the opportunity to live my life as an entrepreneur and spend my time building all kinds of cutting edge things. Being a part of this project is an absolute pleasure and I enjoy spending my time being on the front lines of not only the marijuana legalization wave but also the digital payment revolution.

What is exciting about 4/20 and your industry?
The most exciting part for me is that fact that marijuana will be legalized and I will not have to be paranoid or worry about smoking a joint anymore. I currently am living in Thailand and due to their harsh drug laws, I have not even dared to come anywhere close to smoking a joint for a couple of months now. I miss my good friend Mary Jane and I look forward to seeing her again someday:)
