What is happening with the blockchain? Since about 2 days there are lot of confusion... always empty blocks, very often no connection, numbers of forged blocks are changing very often...
What's the matter?Huh??

Good question.  I haven't been able to get past the blocks in December.  Anyone have a "Qora horn" and know what's going on.

A Personal Quote on BTT from 2011:
"I'd be willing to make a moderate "investment" if the value of the BTC went below $2.00.  Otherwise I'll just have to live with my 5 BTC and be happy. :/"  ...sigh.  If only I knew.

I've stopped trying to run the qora wallet on my windows 8, it's constantly crashing. I've tried several things, java update (now on latest version 8 ) and fiddled with the memory settings in run.bat, but no luck.  Sad

Try this:

maybe that helps!

Thank you, UAC could be involved!

But:

Temporarily disabling UAC may resolve the exception access issue, however, turning off UAC reduces the security of your system. We do not recommend leaving UAC disabled.

It seems like there is something going on with the network or the block explorer:

Could it be on a fork?

Qora compared to BitShares and other crypto's on BitShares forum ...

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=13234.0

Nice, although it's a bit biased towards NXT. I think the original one isn't completely up to date too. One of the NXT devs published a newer chart (it's in the thread) but it's missing Qora. Sad

Poloniex is for the 4th in Qora's history orphaning all blocks forged by other people and holding a complete monopoly on forging. I expect transactions to be undone/wiped once again.
We need to fix this. How does this happen? Why does this happen? What can we do to fix it?
Poloniex only has 5,5% of the network. Bter alone has more than double of that. How can they beat everyone else?

This is something that should never happen yet happens from time to time.

I was on a fork since 1/16 it looks like (once I forge more than 2 blocks in a day I start checking), so I re-started with fresh wallet/data.

It appears the faucet is on a fork currently, can anyone else confirm?

Regarding Poloniex, I just waited another 3 weeks to get my Qora withdrawals. They seem to always be on a fork. I've never had issues with BTer and Qora.
