Sorry, I don't agree! I don't see what can be good to burn coins! Maybe I don't understand well...
But many coins will be lost on other ways - for example in lost wallets...
I love that coins are NOT burned, but go as fee from one wallet to another!

The idea is that whenever you burn coins, the rest of the coins become more valuable.  This is a way to pay a dividend to all QORA holders.

In this way, whenever someone ran a service that lots of people were using, it would make QORA itself profitable, and these profits would be given to everyone who had QORA coins, because some coins were burned, making the rest of the QORA that everyone held more valuable.  Many of the top coins on CMC use this idea: Ripple, Bitshares, NXT, Counterparty.  I think Ethereum will as well.  Its a great way to provide value to the coin and get people excited about investing in it.

Thanks for the explanations! I knew that  of course.... but the burned amount is so less... in my opinion it is much better to pay for services directly and if necessary the fee can be higher! The higher fee would bring more people to forge!

we can also think so: qora is POS system and generate more value in the time. so why not burn some amount of it? so its always good balance for it and NO inflation happen...

well first i was also sceptical about the burning. but looking at it from your PoV i fully agree. thats a great way for balanceloading regarding the coincap/value.

Seems that I cannot understand... How can be an inflation when ALL Qora already exist? Or will there be in the future more Qora than 10,000,000,000 Huh

No, there wont be more than 10B QORA.

If we implement burning, there will be less (deflation, not inflation).

THANKS!!!! I am glad not to be wrong! Smiley

But, why people do want to burn Qora?HuhHuhHuhHuh? There will be less Qora day by day by loosing keys for wallets,  people dying without to have given their wallets to their children or other things...

Every time you burn some QORA, you make the rest of the QORA a little more valuable.  This is like paying a dividend to every QORA holder.

The goal is that because the QORA services are burning some QORA, then QORA is profitable, which means there is a good reason to want to own QORA.

Alright, so bter withdrawals work again

ehh, for some apparently.

our marketing account was cleaned out and we've received zero responses to inquiries. not a big deal to us, because it wasn't much at all, but we won't be using bter again unless our funds are returned.

Submit a support ticket.
I had made a withdrawal that didnt go through.  I made a ticket and they credited it back to my account, and then I withdrew again and it went through.

1. Right now it's entirely possible to build fee-based applications on top of Qora that will provide a steady stream of income!  The way it works with Qora Services Explorer is like this --  every time an user launches an application, an (optional) fee is paid to the developer at launch. So think of it as a SaaS (Software-as-a-service) platform.  My goal and vision for Qora Services Explorer is to eventually turn it into something like a "Qora App Store" where developers can list their applications for end users.  My only goal and objective here is to help attract 3rd-party developers to Qora.

blown away by all of your great ideas, keep it up!

And here we were sulking about buying bitcoin @ $268 right before it dropped to $250 today.

We should have visited this thread earlier today. Excellent news all around for Qora.

Great to see you two join the project!

yes is simple. only add unspendable pubKey linked to new sendbutton [BURN] and send tx to unspendable key. so its burned forever.
i also think this is good idea! it will minimize cap and rise value.

Awesome!  Anyone else like this?

Sounds good.
