Hi,

Do you plan to implement Distributed Hashtables ? Or by "metadata in the blockchain", you mean uploading the magnets ? If so, how to prevent the visibility of the IP of the seeders ?
This guy takes arround 24 hours/Megabyte uploading files to blockchain: http://namecoinfiles.org/

What are your thoughts on this ?

Cheers

Hi vtorrent team, could you answer to this please ? Id didnt asked for a WhitePaper, just want to know some of your thoughts on what you purpose, since its quite challenging.

Cheers

I saw this coin on c-cex, I really liked the idea and so I'm here. And...

For now I see nothing behind this project apart from words and couple of fine pictures. Well, risky investors can do what they want to do, there is always huge risk where big profits are, but for me it looks like scam for quick buck so far. Claimed goal is not so simple either. And
Quote
We will reward 1% of premine to anyone or team of developer that could develop a working concept of 'BitTorrent on Blockchain'
One of the rule is that the solution must be achievable with decentralised/distributed concept.
and only if they can deliver it before us.
Seriously? And can you please say who is this 'we', who is your team?

If you google for the user "vTorrent" you will find another name which is used from the same user on bitcointalk and he is rated as a "scammer"

This coin is definatly a SCAM COIN!!!
no it is not this is a completely different coin just because someone else has the same name doesn't mean that it is this person. Just so you know there isnt another one so vTorrent i would suggest deleting his post because he is just trying to stop the coin and you.

Again, care to share more details on this?? Should ALL coins with no PoD = scam?

I'll be waiting for those answer since I am believe in this project and the developer, doubter such as @hankrules feel free to exit with my walls at ~500-600 satoshi, I will remove those wall once I reach my target.

5 star and 7 star proofs would be nice. That would/should create some demand and there for, price movement.

Yes as the more the stars of the proofs , more the value.

To be honest, I've seen one too many coins out there with all the starts and proofs but turns out to be SCAM anyway, that's why I rather support the coins that the developer is (at least to me) honest as this one.

Yeah, I agree with you. Although some people find comfort in POD's. I could care less, as long as the dev(s) prove themselves in development.

Please be-aware of a user named 'vtorrent' in c-cex claims to be vTorrent developer, do not send him any BTC or VTR, he has no real connection to the project.

All client should be download ONLY from the first post of this thread and please make sure to check your download with MD5 hash to verify the integrity of the downloaded file.

Thank you for your support.

So how is the development of the torrent implementation coming along?

I will push out the new client with promised in-client trading and some small features before moving on to details in implementing torrent protocol to the client and network, the plan is to have client across all of the operating system running solid and bug-free with all the basic features before any addition of the torrent related stuff.

So far after some testing and debugging I still cannot find the reason for some of the user reported 'bug' related to unlocking the client, I will be focusing on testing the client on operating system with languages other than english since all of the 'bug' reported came from users with foreign language operating system.

None of the user reported any problem with the transaction, network or staking till now.

Please leave feedback or PM me if you have any problem with the client/network.

EDIT: Currently vTorrent deposit/withdraw seems to be temporary disabled on C-CEX, I think this is due to the bug related to incompatible of VTR long stealth address and their address management system in balance page, this is quite a small bug, no funds should be at risk and they should be able to get it fixed in no time.

Regards
Nice to see you're on top of things. Keep it up.
