Under account it shows everything at 0;  balance 0 , unconfirmed 0 , stake 0 , immature 0

 just delete everything in roaming except wallet.dat and ??.log, then start up again

did delete the whole roaming\vanillacoin folder and downloaded wallet 15 mns ago

Well he did say its a beta release. I guess he should have said testnet until it works then its realnet. I'm just going to assume we are in testnet.
