yes it is always right to ask questions but when presented with factual answers we don't need to keep repeating what amount to accusations of dishonesty.

Open source software development is cool because it allows developers to add on each others work and we keep moving forward. People take parts of code from all sorts of places to incorporate into their wallets.

I think people mistake phrases like "engineered from the ground up" to mean "I coded this whole thing from scratch". Personally I dislike phrases similar to that for that very reason.

Anyway. I love participating in new coins and I am not concerned at all about being "scammed" because I would not let myself be. These people aren't asking for your life savings just a little bit of processing power which you are voluntarily giving to them.

I agree with you Digithusiast that I hope John will be trustworthy.

But when I saw a closed wallet, no confg file to gpu mine to, an algorithm that everyone can mine and more I started thinking. ( I was scammed so many times before sending my hash into the dev pocket ) He has a closed wallet. He had many forks. ok Im patient. But adding all the things that were going on, I started thinking that he could be mining at high hash getting many coin to dump while we have low hash and very little coins with a known algorithm. And that's why I said scam alert, not it's a scam. If anything, he should call this whirl-r or something like that. Saying that he forked it with whirl. Now that would be cool.

@tbearhere There must be something damaged in your head. You are shouting scam just because the algo is same. All coins are scams if that is true. Even bitcoin. So your big letters are just making people not to trust you with whatever you are writing. Use that word when its needed and not when you want.

But there is no truck because the coin is not launched yet. You just wanted to advertise a dying coin that you are a bagholder in. That is awful and disgusting to me. Wait until you have all info and most people are not concerned with your bags. How would you feel if you were a dev and someone like you shows up and started writing scam alert in big red letters. Think about that. There is no coin yet and there is no scam and no truck. Give him a chance to prove himself before you diss him.

I hope the relaunch will go well. The Whirpool Proof-of-Work algorithm is interesting and the Proof-of-Stake with 0.6% interest rate is enough.
Lets hope he have also fixed the program crashing. I like CPU mining but its hard to make it fair to everybody. I hope people will give him a fair chance to launche the coin. After that it woukld be great to see if he have any ideas how he want to use this coin.

You're right.

OK, the test network is still working as it should. I am fine tuning the difficulty adjustment algorithms through simulation to address some minor issues regarding block generation time.

We will start testing soon. I think most people will be pleased with how fairly I've made solo mining distribution.

I am going to get some rest and let the network continue to run and gather statistics.

Ok, I have made one final change to the solo mining fairness algorithm in attempt to make it more fair and fix block timing issues related to difficulty fluctuation. Preliminary tests shows that 3 test machines manufactured roughly 2 years apart each generated 3 blocks out of 9 blocks total. I am going to run a larger scale test to see if block generation time stays within bounds and distribution is good. If that succeeds we will do a public test and watch for these specific issues and fix them if required. I have high confidence. Cool

The test network is running good so I will take a moment to address some confusion I've seen.

There are a few people claiming that the Proof-of-Work algorithm was not invented by myself. The people that did not read the white paper are the most likely candidates to say such non-sense. The algorithm is Whirpool http://www.larc.usp.br/~pbarreto/WhirlpoolPage.html XOR'd to reduce the 512 bits into 256 bits without any truncation. I refer to this algorithm in code as "whirlpoolx" because of the final XOR process.
