bat it is increasing.  so this is pump and dump.

Bitcoin has increased today, it must be a pump and dump!  Roll Eyes

stay away from this.
even litecoin traded $2.85 today. and it is 3+ years old. the most importang thing it has no premine
so what gives paycoin a $20 value? copy paste peercoin. go buy peercoin, litecoin, xpm, dogecoin, namecoin instead at least they are not premined!

Litecoin is dying, people were saying that months ago. A crypto coin is not wine, old doesnt mean good, same thing with technology.

yeah? so what is the tehnology behind paycoin? copy paste peercoin source code? no thanks.
if crypto is not wine, then bitcoin should not be the #1 coin.
what gives something a value is based on trust. do you want me to believe paycoin which 96% premine?

litecoin was dying 15 months ago too. litecoin has been dying for 3+ years. you can find lots of forum threads here, people were talking "ltc is dying" yet litecoin always reached a new all time high.

do you know what is dead? auroracoin... it was high as $110 a coin now where it is? $0.02.
paycoin is the new auroracoin.

Why are you hating this coin so much?

I'm not a big supporter either but your hate is overwhelming.

Not sure what that is all about?

Missing coins from the hard coded prime addresses:

https://hashtalk.org/topic/25461/just-a-heads-up-if-we-get-pulled-from-coinmarketcap-while-i-m-working-on-new-prime-list

Thus coinmarketcap has no idea how many coins are in circulation.

Thanks.

So when the "update" is done they will be number 2?

It was strange to see total coins at 300k+  then jump to 5mil+ then back to nothing.

If 12.5 mil coins were created why not just feed that in to coinmarketcap and be done with it?

Probably something i'm missing here.

Must have something to do with proof of .......stake (shudders).

Too many inconsistencies and too many last minute changes. Better to just leave as a ? till everything gets sorted out.

Their pitch hasnt been about being innovative. They want to say they are backed by mining contracts and that the coin would be used widely.

Its essentially a mining contract being sold on a blockchain, I dont think it represents a true cryptocurrency.

That is not true, where did you get this from? There is no backing by mining contracts. And yes, it's being pitched as innovative and advanced. Just look at the post quoted above, or many others.

https://archive.today/UnrK6#selection-865.1-871.125

That was my impression, it seems like they were telling anything to get it to sell.
Its using PPC code which by todays standards is outdated.

Just the fact it was not announced here is enough to show you it was shady from the start.

We may get to there at some point, but we are not there yet.

You still have to mention it here. Period

I'm sure you guys know that on the internet you actually able to find other alt coin market cap listings
besides coinmarketcap.com to start even more assumptions of all sorts.
XPY actually listed here also on a quick Google search.

https://www.coingecko.com/en?sort_by=liquidity_score

PS. nice one calling XPY a scam without any actual proof.
but yes, still early days... carry on...

The evidence is all there if you are willing to open your eyes. After the lies and exaggerations start compounding themselves than I am justified calling paycoin a scam and I invite GAW to take legal action to clear their name so we can discuss the evidence in further detail.

A few unaddressed concerns I found on HT:

I am new to bitcoin and the crypto currency business, i have seen gawminers advertised alot, and I wanted to do some research on them before considering any investment in this company. Thank god i did do the research, what I found out about these clowns is not pretty, Josh Garza, CEO of Gawminers has no qualms about advertising and showing how glamorous it is to be the head of one of the biggest Ponzi Schemes online today. Not only did we find several reviews and complaints about how Gawminers Josh Garza has manipulated forums and falsifying articles and reviews, but we also found plenty of write-ups and evidence showing just how dishonest, deceitful and greedy Josh Garza and Gawminers has become, here are just a few very interesting url links; please be aware Gawminers, Josh Garza and his group will probably try to sabotage or attack some of these websites to try and prevent people from seeing these urls: https://coinfire.cf/2014/11/22/is-gaw-miners-lying-about-partnerships/
http://www.misleddit.com/p/2nvtrr/
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2nk9ns/gawminerscom_paycoin_josh_garza_has_the_potential/?sort=new
http://www.reddit.com/r/litecoinmining/comments/2e6wx6/proof_of_dishonesty_and_lies_inside_about/
Some claims made there are

Gaw lied about having partners
Gaw photoshopped a picture that was supposed to prove mining operations
This one:
Their Zenpool had consistently paid 2x more than other multipools during the beginning of the launch. Their fake zenpool speed counter went up to 300MHS when it was displayed publicly here: https://www.zenminer.com/pool/ until they realized they are claiming to own more than 50% of the total litecoin network at the time. That is when the counter disappeared when people began to question the enormous scope of their fake mining operation.
Josh posted himself on bitcointalk as a "satisfied customer"
This one: (see https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2nk9ns/gawminerscom_paycoin_josh_garza_has_the_potential/cmfykdn for the links)
Tangentially related....
I believe some of the other things are here This topic about josh scamming on ebay This points to a specific post.
Impersonating an ebay employee when called out That link was cited in the past as probably him as the post is REALLY fishy.
The only other one I recall is a post which he has deleted his user account from here
This:
Josh Garza publicly stated that the payouts from his virtual hashing machines are from a combination of mining, day trading, and private rentals. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=720844.msg8601489#msg8601489 Nothing on the product page mentions day trading and it is misrepresentation of risks by omitting such evidence.
