Well silverstone FHP-141 doesnt seem like an option for me. not enough airflow. guess ill put the stock fans (vacuums cleaners) back on. or i could just keep them as pull fans... might keep them as winter fans since I wont need as much airflow during that time... on a positive note; I bought antec Formula 7 nano diamond thermal compound. i bought it because one of my miners had a 15 degree difference in temps. like one blade would be 70c and the other would be 45. Now i can overclock and the temps are 1-2 degrees apart.

It's a good idea to keep them around for winter.  But for summer I would use the high RPM fan it comes with if your summer is hot like mine.

Best of luck with your mining!

black wire is red, I am in the same position (molex) I reversed only other two cables that have different colors from the original fan bitmain, yellow is blue, originally part of a maximum speed, and slowly lowers speeds, up to die , it stops and will not start. if remit the cables in place the fan runs at full speed without decreasing, virtually noise is too loud.

i have already told you as someone else have in the TWO other posts you posted about this fan..

if you maybe go and read those you will understand..

as for the S5.. I WOULD NOT PLUG TWO 4 AMP FANS INTO IT..  < made it all caps for you to understand.

as for your fan, that fan has an INVERTED PWM controller.. meaning if you just power on the fan by the red and black wires nothing happens..

if you plug one into a regular fan header, it will run very SLOWLY.. until it turns off.

nothing to do, I have nothing more to do, these fans are not compatible with miner S5, if any of you have these fans, TCF1212DE (DELTA) connected directly to the controller S5, can post a photo ?, thank you, so I see the wire colors of the fan, and if you have been reversed. Another question may be a firmware bug last? S5 ?, I do not know what more I have to think, other threads on this fan delta, say the model described above and find none.

Hi Guys, please let me know if I've got the wrong idea...

The electricity tariff for my location works out at $0.08 / kWh providing my monthly usage does not exceed 2000 kWh

By my calculations, using an S5, I would be making on average $2-$3 per day, with less than half of that as electricity costs.

It sounds like a no-brainer to me....

I also realise I will need to purchase a Power Supply.

at .08c a kwh you will be making money for awhile, but 2000 kwh is not a lot.. the average household uses about 1000 kwh or so with just common every day stuff.

if you run a s5 24/7 you are using 432 KWH a month. or about 35$ at .08c
if you make sure to turn off all your lights and your water heater and range is gas you can maybe afford to run 2 s5s.

how much does your power go up if you go over?

That's a good question.  Also are there other things running there and sharing this 2000 KWH?  If so might be worth getting a kill-a-watt yo can see usages and then decide what number is good for you on purchasing.

But .08 cents with the S5's efficiency is a good combination

Thanks very much for replying.

Figures -
0-2000 kWh = $0.0796 / kWh
2000-4000 kWh = $0.093 / kWh

Only problem is I live in a very hot country, although I would normally have A/C on anyways at home...I have a separate bill for Water/Gas...Electricity consumption in general would be low to be honest.
Also, would it be worth waiting until July for the S7?

having stability issue. everytime i use infernopool my hashrate fluctuates 50%. sometimes it will drop to 0.00 and then start crawling back up. it does this at random. im on the nicehash firmware, but the stock bitmain firmware did this too. ive tried all diff ports. 256 upto 4096. 256 seems more recovers faster than the other ports. when i mine on f2pool my hashrate is rock solid stable. im guessing because inferno is profit switching pool and f2pool is strictly bitcoin. so its not switching at all. any ideas? guess i should stop staring at it and obsessing over it....lol

I can't find that model with Google (typo maybe).  I have Delta fans on my S5's.  I just hooked them onto the fans ports on the controller.  What's going on for you?

Left positive feedback for Dogie & now don't feel the same? Remove it here

Thank you for sharing it!  Wow that is an amazing cooling setup.   Looks like a clean setup.

What was temp difference going from normal fan to that?
