Why was the decision made to limit investments to 4x Kelly?

I guess they dont limit it to 4x kelly but they lower it to 4x kelly but still you can invest on 5x kelly or more if they have this thing. Usually people tend to play at 5x kelly to get more in return

You can win up to 4% of the house bankroll, and after you factor in the commissions taken, it ends up being much more than 4x kelly.

It's an interesting situation. 

The highest wagers can be made at BetKing because of how it's setup and because Dean has been trustworthy with the funds.

It allows Betking to have an amazing amount of volume (despite a small amount of total bets) and attracts the largest whales, but the variance for investors is incredibly high. 

Luckily it has performed extremely well above its expectation.  Over-leveraging and a bit of a lucky streak from a whale could obliterate the site, so imo it's fine enough where it's currently set.

I actually will probably reduce it again soon. We want to maintain the largest max bet in the business but there's no need for larger risk.

The leverage system was great to give people the option of only putting a small amount of Bitcoin on the site and so not need to trust me with all their coins but no one used it for that, they want the largest share of bankroll so put all their money on 10x anyway!

Would you at all consider upping it for large investors? (people who could sign  transaction showing they have 100+BTC, etc...

I do feel like this is a good idea. Just because of the high multiplier. I'd never hunt a big multiplier if the minimum bet is as high as 1k sat. Otherwise I wouldn't mind though...

At 2:30 you say that if you invest in the bankroll BetKing takes 25% of the profits and you keep the rest. That's not right is it? I think it's more like a 50/50 split. They take 25% of the expected profit plus 25% of the actual profit, for a total of 50% on average.
