Been thinking of how we could implement a new loyalty program promo.

Here's a proposal for how it would work, feedback appreciated. If enough people like it then I would get it live on the site by Monday.

Code:
New PRC loyalty program (proposal)
--------------------------------------
For every bet you make at PRC you will be awarded loyalty points that can be traded for Bitcoin.

There are three different member levels, bronze, silver and gold.

All existing and new accounts will automatically be set to Bronze level.

You will be awarded more points the higher your level:

Bronze = 0.5 points for every 1 Bitcoin wagered
Silver = 1 point for every 1 Bitcoin wagered
Gold = 1.5 points for every 1 Bitcoin wagered

As you play you will move up to a higher bonus level:
Wager 200 Bitcoin in a week or 500 in a month to move to silver level
Wager 500 Bitcoin in a week or 1500 in a month to move to gold level

Points can be traded in for Bitcoin at any time:
points Reward
50 0.05
100 0.1
250 0.25
500 0.5
1000 1

If at the start of each month you did not wager the amount required in the previous month to maintain your current level you will be moved down
to the level that matches your wagered amount.

I like the idea of rake back much better than wagering contest. Ryan idea will make it more interesting (more points - bigger reward) and players will try to collect more points instead of cashing out at minimum.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Yeah I think wager contests are not a good idea.

We've had a lot of wager contests, leaderboards and raffles and given away Xbox, PS4, TV's, tablets etc but something that rewards all players would be better than these kind of promos.

Max bet now back up to 321 Bitcoin!

Also topped up investor cold wallet which now shows 91% proof of solvency again.

Is this any different than simply reducing the house edge to 0.95%, 0.9% or 0.85% depending on the players' wagered amounts?

You might find that advertising a lower house edge is more effective and easier to understand than introducing the new concept of "points".

Also, I don't know how sound it is to reduce the house edge the most for your biggest players. They're the ones who present the biggest risk to your bankroll.

Also, I don't know how sound it is to reduce the house edge the most for your biggest players. They're the ones who present the biggest risk to your bankroll.

I don't think the majority of players understand or care much about edge in games or rake in poker etc. There's always people in the chat, forums or live that don't know the edge in games like blackjack or roulette and play even when they think they are higher than they are.

So advertising lower edge probably won't attract many people. There's a lot of sites already tried that and none are busy at all. Satoshi Dice has seen wagered amounts increase and they have a higher edge than our sites.

Points feel like you are earning a bonus or getting something back. Accumulating them and being able to cash them in for Bitcoin in this case is something that seems to work on all fiat sites.

I'm aware that fiat style promo does not necessarily translate well to Bitcoin but it's worth trying something that all players can easily relate to.

The VIP program mentioned above is now live on the site.
As you bet you will accumulate VIP points.
There's an indicator at the top of the page to show your current level, Bronze, Silver, Gold and how many points you have.

Just finalising a help/info page and a store to trade your points for Bitcoin. These will be uploaded later today.

Will update this thread when that is completed.

VIP points have now been awarded to all users who bet this month based on the amount they wagered.
A few people have started trading them in for Bitcoin already.

It's for everyone. Even if you bet 0.0001 Bitcoin that will still count towards a VIP point.
Some people have already been cashing their points in and they haven't been high rollers.

So no matter what your deposited funds or how larger you bet you still benefit from playing at PRC as you will accumulate points for every bet.

Who is paying for this promotion?  You and your rake on the commissions for investors?

If investors should you not change the % you take on players that have effectively lowered their house edge?

Very sure he is paying it. The "rakeback" is basically between 2.5% till 15% which is possible with his commission.

Pretty nice promo btw. Wondering if this has a good effect on btc gambling sites. Things like this obviously work for pokerstars etc. Maybe change a subtle thing in chat to reflect the VIP status of each player. People like to show their ChromeStar on PS.

Yeah paid by me. There's never been a promo or expense paid by investors. Though I think they should but that's a different matter Smiley

The chat idea is good, I'll try add some badge or status soon.

Was wondering if players think I should bring blackjack and roulette back, but with the design I had before.

I have a designer doing new versions for the new site but instead of waiting till then it might be better to just put the old versions back on?

Both games will be funded by the current investors and most likely will have the highest max bet of any other btc casino offering them

Yes you should, why wait everything until ready when you can launch it now and grab some penyy from gambler. But why using investor funds? the last roulette was privately funded by you irrc
