Just popped by to say that I'm still holding everything I have, and happily minting like a boss Wink

I'm kinda up to my neck in matters Elite: Dangerous, having been made both a moderator of the 'Order of Mobius' forum & a flight leader for one of our wings, in addition to my many hours in the cockpit. Only reason I even have the time to post this missive is, the game server is down for a major upgrade atm.

I'm still confident in your ability to make a HUGE success of Kobo, Tribesman, and I'd say don't worry too much about 'features' as they haven't done any other coins much good in the short-term anyway. The most important attribute of an alt is it's simple ability to SURVIVE, and with this fine community & your dedication to 'getting it right' I have no worries for the long-term.

My best to all Grin
Thanks!

There's a lot of truth there in what you say, and I completely agree that it's about survival. I've gone to great pains to make sure that the network is robust (and fast), and that the blockchain is also secured for the long term. The mobile and desktop wallets are also syncing happily (and I personally think kobo has the best looking Schildbach wallet out there - not that looks matter!).

I think mobile wallets are a great asset to any crypto. Just look at how Apple Pay is pushing it's service globally. it's introducing more people to the concept of mobile finance (and ironically helping with the future awareness of how cryptos work imho). Apple Pay is only doing what mobile crypto wallets have been doing for some time now (but Apple Pay still cannot do person-to-person the way a mobile crypto wallet can). I'm glad I got kobo's mobile wallet out before Apple Pay took over the world of advertising (and also before Apple Pay's UK launch). Bragging rights matter!  Grin

Good luck with the Order of Mobius. Elite: Dangerous is one awesome piece of software! Not even sure it can be defined as a game any more. It's definitely more simulator than game. If you can bring unity to the pilots order then maybe you guys can also try working on unifying the BCT community! Cheesy

Thanks for the encouragement and your continued support. It's really appreciated. Keep minting!
 Smiley

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

While other altcoins dropped in price during the bitcoin run-up, kobocoin stood its ground. It's a testament to kobocoin's strength. Kudos.

Thanks, and thanks to all our silent supporters. It's all keeping Kobo alive (and honest!). Don't forget to download your Android wallet from Google Play.

"This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on November 13th unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.2 BTC."

Come on, people! Let's do some trades on Bittrex now!

Indeed, I put up a sell @ 750 because there is only very limited supply on Bittrex. This is a great long-term investment, that's why I have plenty left  Smiley

Hi,

Is there still a dev for the coin?  If so, please email support@bittrex.com and let us know what's going on with the coin. We'd like to keep it listed if there is still active development.

Thanks,
Bill

The rich list feature is not available on the Abe explorer I built. I'm already in touch with blockexperts to find out what's wrong with the explorer that was purchased at launch. It's also the explorer used by coinmarketcap. I haven't heard back from them. Sent them a message a few days ago when you first asked.

As you can see below, it's paid up till 19th January, 2016. I'm not sure what's going on.

any news for kobo?
if this coin would get the right marketing and dev push it could be much higher.

I'm looking into flym - https://github.com/FredJul/Flym - I want to incorporate it as a newsreader into the wallet. There's a lot that can be done with multiple feeds into the wallet. I'm hoping it will provide a lot of possibilities for the future.

I work away from home right now which is slowing things down. Also, my server had a disk crash recently which will require a brand new disk and complete rebuild. Once I get the server up and running again I can start looking at how to get the newsreader incorporated (I was thinking of paying for development but it's a very expensive option and I'm not rich). I'm not steaming ahead with it just yet. I'm spending a lot of time thinking about how I want it to operate. I don't want to just tack it on.

I understand what you're saying about marketing and a push but it doesn't always work that way. Marketing can be a double edged sword. I've been told in the past to concentrate on kobo and not look at the fortunes of other projects, but if you do look around at what has actually happened with so many other cryptos, you'll see that those things can have a very temporary effect. There's a lot to learn from the ups and downs of other projects. I'm hoping that once things have been further developed on the mobile wallet it will generate lasting interest in what's being done. The microtransaction feature of the wallet will be highlighted, but I'm also aiming for the wallet to be an app that's more than just a crypto wallet.
