Can we use the MjollnirCoin cgminer made by "reorder", the 1Gh.com pool owner? It was using -hefty algorithm and it was basically slightly modified heavycoin version of cgminer.

What miner does Hefty1 use?

Search for heavycoin cgminer

nope wait.. miner programs which mine heavycoin dont work with our coin.

I'm currently adapting cpu-miner, ccminer and cgminer to mine our coin.

I will upload them on github and Mega as soon as we launch the PoW phase (hence once the swap is done).

Cheers
Ok thanks dev

I dont know what MjollnirCoin developers did with their coin.. i dont know if they deleted nVote and nReward from block header or if they just set it to 0 like Mozzshare developers did or old Securitysyscoin dev did.. in truth i didnt check MjollnirCoin development.

I may check, however  I think it's better having a customized version of miners programs to ensure maximum performance/compatibility with our coin.

You will have the github link containing both binaries and source of all you need to mine Securitycoin. Dont worry.

Cheers

Yes the voting mechanism was of course removed, but I don't know in which way. The point is that the CGMiner was optimized by Reorder and so far he has been the only guy who was able to squeeze the maximum speed from CGMiner using Hefty. But if you are able to squeeze cca 20 Mh/s speed on R280x, I don't care which miner I use. Smiley The link to cgminer binaries is still alive although 1Gh.com doesn't mine MNR anymore as the coin network is dead: http://mnrdl.1gh.com/cgminer-hefty-2014-05-04.zip. And here is the code: https://github.com/reorder/cgminer_heavy

im getting 15 mh/s with a 750ti, maybe there is more work to do on amd Wink

however, i didnt say "i will optimize cgminer"... i just said im adapting minining programs to work with our coin.. e.g. ccminer 1.2 had vote process..i had to download it, modify block header composition and rebuild.. with cpu-miner the same.. and this is just what im going to do with cgminer.. im not going to work on driver optimization, so if cgminer already support hefty1 with 80 header, well i will not touch the code and you'll can use it.
