Wondering how he gets so many retweets/favs, first time i heard of him, not many of the big industry names follow him.  Yet he knew about bitstamp ahead of time.  Sticking with ETF positive news prediction, seems like the kinda information someone like him might have gained access to.

Just speculation, but there are tweet follower services which you can pay and they will add thousands of random followers to your account for a small price.  I mean 6k followers is decent, but its certainly nowhere near celebrity status.  There are a ton of small 'btc pumps' twitter accounts that have more than 2k each, and from the way they tweet, are probably ran by 17 year olds.

Yeah i know you can pay for followers, seen that on fiver hehe.  But favs and retweets must be trickier,  maybe check whos Favorited and retweeted to see the validity.

I had a friend that was in the same business as this scam job, pushing cpa ads through hacked or fake facebook and twitter accounts to sell acai weight loss and male supplements.  Getting retweets and faves is perhaps the easiest chore.  They have programs and scripts nowadays that do all that.

The guy must be a frequent reader of the blackhat forums where they indulge in questionable marketing practices.

Whether it is true or not, let's just wait 2 more days. I'm still holding onto my stash of bitcoin.

Im gonna put my prediction out there and say its positive news for ETF.   Bit license news alone wouldnt be enough to get excited about.

Would be quite the interesting time for the Winklevoss ETF to come online
At this price range and given the sentiment its very possible that it could become one of the best performing market mechanisms in the Nasdaq if were still in a bear cycle when the IPO is released.

Believing in Bitcoins and it's ability to change the world

Firstly, who is this guy and why is his opinion relevant? Secondly, it looks just like hype to me without anything to back it up so I guess we will see this friday.

I don't trust an arbitrary twitter guy more than the next man.  But he appears to be speculating some very bad regulation coming bitcoin's way.  At least that's how I'm reading it.  If true, then people hoarding now thinking they're getting a steal will be kicking themselves.

This.

Adam Guerbuez claims some very big news is coming for Bitcoin this friday.  He has been posting about it on twitter, lots of retweets/favs, its hard to overlook completely.

What do we think he is talking about?

Maybe, he is looking to pump the price by good news Tongue And then who knows.

And this. People often have their reasons for claiming such, but regardless what does good news even mean? We get lots of that all the time but price never follows.

I do not see anything big coming from him on Friday. Announcing that you are going to announce something usually shows that you have something you want hyped, as opposed to the actual news being good enough to hype itself.

Speaking of, I will be announcing something next week Wink

Yeah, i agree on that logic for sure, oldest trick in the book in bitcoin.  Im still thinking there might be something, maybe 30% chance.

must have something to do with the North American Bitcoin Conference starting on Friday Jan. 16th 2015!

Assuming a big announcement will be made on launch day, I doubt it will be a bad one....

He did predict the bitstamp hack a few days in advance, if that means anything.

So this is the guy that "predicted" the BitStamp hack before it happened, and now is calling for something huge to happen "positively" on Friday?

I don't know, man.  Everytime there's supposedly "bullish" news, price upticks for a second, then a huge dump follows.  We'll see in 2 days if his sources are right.

i hope that what he sayd is true, btw from my point of view ppl like him should not do things like thta, i mean announce "big news", because of that ppl are so excited Tongue also maybe that news will disappoint the expectations, you know...

Maybe is a new release with a good features of the bitcoin-qt wallet?
That would do exactly nothing to the price.
We need something. First of all, fixing the big ass miner-incentive problem.

What do we think he is talking about?

I haven't clue as to what's referred to, but in less than 5 1/2 hours the following will start having 86 tweets added to the new Twitter account so that a new set of over a million eyes will become aware of Bitcoin for the very first time:
