Once merge mining happens it will give this coin the exposure it needs.

Seems there is lots of speculation about merged mining around lately. There is many facts about merged mining. One main thing is the cryptocurrency could get covering hashrate.
That's what is good against hashrate majority attacks. But there is also many other points to take care of.

I took a step backwards in the merging process after I looked into many smaller merge mineable coins history. It turned out that people just cashed out the extra, maybe considered as instant free bonus. After the supply got bigger, cashing out began free fall style without any boundaries.
I don't like to mention any coin in here, all who's been lately into merged mining - knows the drill with merged coins.

What I want about Lyrabar, LYB, is that it's based on pure interest among people and hobbyists around, not just the interest in the mining profits. If you're mining the coin for profits - can't prevent You, but also want to mention, this digital rare bar is made for holders that will for sure have later fun with their stack.

This is funny, the official one doesn't work with stealth addresses. Why is this marked as experimental when in Vertcoin is stated as stable and putted as its main feature?

The stealth addresses are marked as experimental because we have not tested them fully yet. It's a feature from Vertcoin we haven't yet looked properly into.

If you want to try out stealth send feature, send minor amount from a stealth address to another valid stealth address to see how it behaves.

We're looking further into the stealth address behaviour in the next minor release, will update everyone about it.

Also we will see the wallet for Mac users before next minor update.
Modifications will be mostly in the interface, if interested, you can follow the commits in the GitHub.

After We've mustered up enough cash to buy more servers, We'll inform more about upcoming in this thread.

I also think merged mining would be a bad thing for LYB. It has its benefits in places, to be sure... But I think that it would destroy the exclusivity of the coin.

From what I gather you are working on, I would suggest maybe getting in contact with the folks over at blocknet.  It wouldnt be something to implement right away but once the x-bridge is complete I feel that layering your platform into the "internet of blockchains" could be mutually beneficial to them and to your project.

 I look forward to the updates you plan to release soon and hope this idea comes to fruition or possibly sparks some other ideas for you guys.

Merge mining with vert would bring some more attention to this coin , it wouldn't kill it . Look at doge coin , it's still very popular and has its of people who don't dump it . It's a better alternative than letting this coins die .
