Interesting, so every 10 % of Blocks gets 10,000% and the rest gets 10%?Huh

Here's the snippet from the OP..

I've heard your concerns. It's inflating too fast, we know. I have an idea to slow it down significantly while still giving the huge lottery bonus and keeping the 10k name intact!

Changes to Stake Rate
  • Stake rewards start fluctuating at Block 360,000
  • There will be ninety blocks at 10% Stake Rate
  • Following those will be 10 blocks at 10,000%
  • These waves will happen every 50 minutes

Basically, every (almost) hour there is a lottery with 10 winners who win 10,000% stake rate for that block, while the other 90 will be at 10%. The reason I chose 100 block cycles is because being slightly less than 50 minutes will ensure the massive blocks aren't always at x:30 or x:00 and add a bit of variance to when the large blocks will hit

Stake Reward Structure in its entirety is as follows:

Code:
int64 GetProofOfStakeRewardYear(int nHeight) {
static int64 nBaseCoinYear = 10000 * CENT;
static int64 nMaxPercent = 100;
static int64 nReward = 0;
if (nHeight < 360000) {
return nBaseCoinYear;
} else {
if (nHeight % 100 <= 9) {
nReward = 10000;
} else {
nReward = 10;
    }
    return nReward * CENT;
    }
 }

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

What is going to happen to the Bittrex BTC market? Does anyone really give a shit about the hard fork since there are 50+ billion coins out there already....

There are many networks with more coins. We all know how many coins there are, why must you come here and post negatively? Posts like yours are the reason people get uninterested. If your goal is to drive people away, you're doing a good job

Would you prefer I left it at 10,000% for every block, or are you just here posting so I will notice you?

Riiight, because this is usally the mark of a legitimate businessman. Im sure ive scared away plenty of wetbrain gambling addicts...err "investors.

I've not asked anyone to do anything, including buy the coins. In fact, I encourage people to dump if they don't understand how they work, which you obviously do not

You guys said it was inflating too fast, so we kicked inflation's ass for 90% of the blocks  Wink

It's about a 90% reduction in coin generation. Usually I would be very against a coin doing this, but we left it high for plenty long. People had more than enough time to get in if they wanted to

Hope you like the change. Good luck catching one of the superblocks!  Wink

90% of the blocks will stake at a rate that pays 10% a year

10% of blocks will still stake at a rate that would average to 27% a day

You are correct, just writing it out in case anyone else is confused

The exact current daily rate is 0.0273972602739726% (assuming you hit 0 superblocks)

It's a very complex system, but pretty simple for what matters to you guys. Don't over-think it  ;p

So assuming someone didn't have much of a life, would it be a good strategy to lock the wallet up and only unlock it when the block height's last two digits are 89-99?

Yea, but you would have to watch the blocks, not the time. The target wave is 50 minutes, so it doesn't always land on the 12:00 or 12:30 type times, so it will rotate around the clock and eventually land on every minute

You would also need incredible luck, even with high stake weight, to catch one of those blocks. Just because you are eligible to stake, doesn't mean you will. You are far less likely to hit one of these superblocks using this method than you are with a PoW superblock by pointing your farm at a coin when a big one is coming up

I just want to give everyone a heads up on something coming up quick

I've recently been invited to the media events and launch of the SpaceX CRS-6 cargo resupply flight to the International Space Station at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. I will still be working via laptop while away, so my presence will still be felt, just not at its maximum capacity for about a week. The launch was originally scheduled for the 9th, but has been postponed, so I may be gone a little longer than anticipated if it is delayed again

Quote
Liftoff is now scheduled for at 4:33 p.m. EST on April 13th. The two day event April 12/13 will provide the opportunity to tour NASA facilities at Kennedy Space Center, meet and interact with engineers, technicians and other team members from Kennedy, view and take photographs of SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on the launch pad, meet fellow space enthusiasts who are active on social media, meet members of NASA's social media teams, and hopefully view the launch of SpaceX Falcon 9

Just wanted to put this out there in advance so everyone knew why my responses may be delayed for a week in the near future. I'll try to nudge ThePeePs and Mortimer into the threads while I'm gone to keep up with any issues. Both of them are more than capable of fixing anything that comes up in my limited availability during that week

Of course, I will be rocking the GorillaStake gear the whole time and doing my best to mingle with the writers, bloggers, and journalists present during breaks, lunches, bus rides, etc. I will also be taking massive amounts of pictures and videos to share with you guys since I know a lot of you are as into space and science as I am. More than anything, though, I'm going to nerd out hard and could not be more excited to see this tremendous event. I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain they are going for a barge landing with this launch, as well, so everyone hop on Twitter and wish them luck  Wink

For the most up to date information and posts from me while I'm away, please follow me on Twitter (@PurePoS), as internet will be limited at Kennedy since we will be all over the place and not just in one building the whole time
