Just a quick update;
I am happy to see that BITZ is being traded at C-Cex and that there has been a volume of around 200,000 BITZ traded for 2.2 BTC. Thats not bad, but it's interesting to note that this is a small fraction of the BITZ in circulation so there are many that are holding and staking (I hope). I have been in contact with Bittrex and need the help of the community to get it listed as soon as possible. Please follow Bittrex on Twitter at @BittrexExchange and promote BITZ there.

You can also consider irc channel #bittrex on irc.freenode.net and do some guerrilla marketing for BITZ. I think it would be in everyones interest to get it on Bittrex. I have also been in touch with other exchanges and will provide further updates.

We are getting close to the hard fork at block 70,000 and I have tried as much as I can to get the message out that this will be happening but at last count using 'getpeerinfo' there is still 4 of 10 peers running the old version 1.0.0 so that it a bit concerning. I guess that means they are not following either this forum or Twitter or the BITZ website. There is still a day or so to go so we will see...hope for the best. As far as I am aware, both the pools and the exchanges are all running version 1.0.1 so that helps.

We are also working behind the scenes to upgrade the logo / graphics.

With regards to the merchant side of things, BITZ has been added to GoUrl.io voting list and is currently number 3 on the list:

I have started it off by putting in 100 votes (0.04 BTC) and will make sure that BITZ are staying at the top of the list. If you are holding BITZ this is a very good way to secure your investment so please visit https://gourl.io/coin-voting.html and vote if you can or consider if you are in a position to get some free votes for BITZ. If we are successful in getting BITZ on GoUrl.io this means great exposure and will secure a higher value for everyone.

I am in the process of putting together a "proposal" sheet that I will use to promote BITZ to other online crypto payment processors. In addition to this, the next phase is some legwork in London to get some exposure around town.

There will also be more work put in around social networking and increasing the exposure through Twitter, Facebook and Weibo.

We are currently only two people working on this (along side day jobs) so please be patient. I have not sold any BITZ yet because I know that the price will go up.

Soooooooon...............

It's interesting to note that there are 151,573 BITZ on offer at C-Cex out of a total of 2,336,285 BITZ (block 66751) at 1920 hours (GMT). This is only 6.48 % of all BITZ in existence which means that the majority of BITZ owners are holding onto their coins.

I am doing the same. I am confident that we will be able to build something thats worth a lot more than 400-500 satoshi per BITZ.

I am slightly concerned that there are still people that have not upgraded to version 1.0.1 but I have been announcing this for days on Twitter and here so I guess people do not pay attention.

1. I know it's stating the obvious but try rebooting, since the stdc++ library is probably in memory.
2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Bitz wallet.
3. Lastly, delete everything in AppData except wallet.dat and re-install.

Let me know if that works

Did version 1.0.0 work fine? Is this problem just in the 1.0.1?

Thanks for the fast response. I like this coin and have a good feeling about it.

Tried all the above and the wallet runs fine until I try to solo mine against it. Don't know about the 1.0.0 version as I didn't get that wallet. Curiously enough if I don't clear the error window off the wallet continues to synch and my miner runs fine against it in the background locally and accross my local LAN. Haven't got a block yet so I don't know if the back-end transaction processes work yet or if it's really mining.

We are still looking into it, you are the only one that has reported this but then again I don't know how many are running the wallet. I am running Mac and the other dev team member is running Windows, we are trying to figure it out.

Thank you, you are the first to report back on the Linux version. The Mac version seems to work fine as well.
