Got the coins from Bittrex. It worked perfectly! I can now confirm Bittrex is on the same chain as published by Barto123.
I will leave the daemon running to let the coins stake. Not sure how often they stake though, all I see in the logs - several clients actively downloading blocks from my wallet. By some reason some people prefer to sync from the scratch, instead of using the snapshot... Is there a working block explorer anywhere?

glad you got your coins from TREX.... there are probably not so many chains....

SYncing is not so easy.... I had different issues myself, not able to sync from scratch while no bootstrap available at the time
, and the solution has been the files from Barto.... now, yep, everyone should use those ;-)
