1) The windows .exe is all we have now. IMO keep waiting and we'll have a linux version. I'd love for the future to include the ability to use an API and build your own, but that's looking a bit too far in the future IMO.
2) Droid version should be 4-8 weeks away. That may help the non-Windows crowd at bit. Mac & Linux, we all want 'em ASAP, but given the circumstances 2 months wouldn't be terrible.
I'll be back in when you get android running. Keep in mind that android is free software, you can download an android image (or source and compile tools) free of charge and you can literally own that OS. By that latter point I mean that you are running GNU/Linux kernel and you can decide what happens on the CPU. When you're giving out a windows .exe MS corp has the ROOT control of you OS so you have no hope for any security unless/except MS corp decides to give it to you. Most likely, they are logging all your keystrokes (you have know way to knw that they aren't). My point here is that while a desktop app for linux would be nice, simply having *any* version that works on a NON-compromised OS would be a huge step in the right direction. Also, have to wonder why browser-based wasnt first priority. Browser gives you a sandbox AND you get cross-platform access for free! Looking forward to the android client!

I'm going to write a little app to run through hand histories for OFC/p and calculate winrate, SD and maybe some other stats. I know this is going to be on the backest of burners, but the hand histories for OFC could use improvement. The FL qualifying rules are not part of the HH, and I will have to depend on the table names.
Ultimately it would be nice to have enough info to replay the hands completely, including discards and in which round each card was placed. Obviously this all needs to be written to the HH file after the hand is over, not during.
I'm not sure what "including discards" is referring to. Are you saying you want YOUR hand history log to tell you MY discards? If so, I disagree. Information that is private during the game should stay private in the hand histories as well. In the same way you don't get to see my folded or mucked hold'ed hole cards. And if that's not what you're asking for, what's the harm in writing it to the HH file while the hand is in play?

In the same way you don't get to see my folded or mucked hold'ed hole cards. Folded, no, but most sites' hand histories have all hole cards if it went to showdown and you were in it at the time. PokerStars does, for instance.

Seems like this is one of the funny places where software poker collides with in-person tradition. As far as I know, if someone calls me into a showdown, and they show first then I have the right to muck and walk away from the showdown (maybe this is stupid cos I lose the chance to win on whatever's coming, but still, I believe it's allowed if the action is to me). However, most poker software is going to have you flip your cards on that call no matter what the other person shows. Am I wrong?

This is the most fun I've had playing poker since Pokerstars. I love the lightning fast software. It blows away the old Seals in speed and feel. I love all of the new games. So many options.........and I didn't even get into OFC yet but I plan on it. Anyway, I know the few bugs people have mentioned will get fixed. This should be a big year for SWC and I hope everyone spreads the word (so I have more people to play of course).

It's worth learning OFC. It feels like a totally different game than all the rest since you're gradually building 3 separate hands with incomplete knowledge of what's to come. Can't wait for the multi-table OFC sit-n-go games.

I'm certainly not trying to be a negative nelly and I'm definitely sore that I can't play until they come out with a non-compromised client. Still, I just wanted to throw out there that things might be so fast because most people can't play now because of the issues with .exe

In the same way you don't get to see my folded or mucked hold'ed hole cards. Well, most sites I've played on have mucked hands that went to showdown in the HH file. It's considered an anti-collusion measure, though not uncontroversial. I'm fine with however they decide to do it in OFC/p, but I don't think it's too hard to figure out how someone plays when you already get to see 13 out of the 17 cards each player is dealt, and 43 cards total in a three handed game.

You have the right to demand to see at showdown (at least traditionally). The last player to bet or raise has to show first, and can demand the loser show. It's generally considered rude to do this excessively or sometimes at all, since it's basically an implicit accusation of collusion or cheating. Also, in some games like jacks or better (does anyone even play that any more), you have to keep your "openers" to show you had the right to even play the hand.

Also, how do you register? I don't see a button. Are our same usernames available on the new site?
Can I login to see my krill, or is it only through the PC client?
To recover your old account: - Click the "log in" button in the client. - Click "Forgot User ID/Password" - Enter your username and click "Send Reset Code" You will get an email from support @swcpoker.eu with a reset code. It might end up in the spam folder. Go back to the "Forgot User ID/Password" window and insert the reset code and your new password. FYI-- If you are unable to request a reset through the client due to error message "User Id must be between 3 and 12 in length and consist only of alphanumeric symbols (A-z, 0-9), hyphen (-), and underscore (-)."...if your username is in fact valid, then it is probably happening because your account name contains a "z". It looks to me like a bug in the client code where somebody probably used a "less than" instead of a "less than or equal to" when considering the alpha range A-Z. You can tell because if you enter a bunch of random letters in for the username and try to request a reset, it will say "User does not exist", but if your random letters includes a "z" then instead you get the error message above. I emailed support - they responded promptly and said they are escalating the issue to technical team and will get back to me.

FWIW mine worked fine. Maybe Z is ok and z isn't though.

No, you're allowed to. The other player has to affirmatively demand you show. And it's often considered rude, and in some circumstances, extremely rude, so most people don't do it without good cause. But many sites show them in the hand histories, because there's no mechanism to make the demand and it's a lot easier to collude online.
