I will still be posting as Inaba for communications that don't involve BFL.

As for the GLBSE assets, they should not be affected.

Question:

If these units are to be shipped in October, shouldn't testing already be taking place? Just over 3 months to go...

Congratulations Inaba/Josh! I have been mining EMC for about a year now and have seen how much work you have put into that.

I am looking forward to actually knowing where my ASIC come October.

Dear Inaba/Josh/Mr Customer Services.

Referencing https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=90426.0

Can you please, plainly state whether this new EasyMiner software provides faster operation than the 896mhs firmware. I have no idea why Sonny refuses to answer questions about the long promised faster firmware.

Edit: I would rather simply be told us outright that its never coming than have to sift through this forum periodically.

Sincerely,
Confused Customer

Just in case he is not online...

I do not think this is the place to ask
1. he clearly stated he was not starting till mid aug
2. this is the announcement thread. i am pretty sure he will want to go thru the normal support channels for bfl

just my 2 bitcents.

There is not a faster firmware than 896 currently.  We are working on putting out a new autotune package, but it's mainly directed at fixing some Minirig issues with tuning.

I just want to reiterate the fact that I can not respond to customer service issues through the PM system here.  You will need to contact office@butterflylabs.com for CS issues, until I can get the support ticket system operational.

...
I am, unfortunately, a bit more constrained from explaining to various people exactly why they are idiots.  ...
Why would someone with the power to detect idiots give that up?  The BFL Hoax has become so large now that they have had to hire a Chief Operating Officer.  I predict that by the end of the year they will be delivering products just to keep up the charade.

Hoax?  You do realize that many people have already received product for some time now, right?
